So I just did some very extensive research on pet insurance after spending $3k when my Smokey (the cat in the cover photo) had an emergency. Turns out you can get unlimited claims with 90% reimbursement if you change the deductible to $1000 for $10/month (for cats). It’s sooooooo worth it. I never want to go through this again! I spent about $3k. I’m including an article that talks about the different companies and what they offer.

Pet insurance plans cover the medical costs associated with illnesses and injuries that befall your pet.

A Convergence is taking place in Madison, starting Nov 6th, to support the defendants in the . As you may know, activists exposed the horrific conditions inside Ridglan breeding facility, where beagles are breed for laboratory experiments. They rescued three beagles, and now they will be defending their actions in front of a jury. Court support, a march, group lunches, and other activities are planned for the entire week and weekend… possibly even the following week if the trial goes that long (which it likely will). This is a historic trial for animals that could help to establish

It’s tick season! I found a larger tick on 1 of my cats and 1 on my window blind. The ticks were bad last year and apparently will be this year too. Dogs have chews for fleas and ticks along with heart worm but what about cats? My mom swears by this product so I ordered some and will be checking it out.

Tick season is officially here again. I found 1 on my cat. There are many natural solutions for tick prevention in pets. If you take your dog to dog parks or wooded areas or fields, make sure you check them over for ticks afterwards. I’m going to try one of these natural solutions and see if it works. I have a field in my backyard and last year the ticks were really bad.
