GREEN BENCH ORCHARD UPDATE
WEDNESDAY JULY 24 4701 South Ave. West, Missoula
Plenty of berries available and I’m trying to keep up with the hot, dry weather. Open for picking Thursday the 25 from 9:30 to 11:00. My plan as of now is to be open for picking on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th, from 9:30 to 11:00. I will post again on Thursday to confirm about open hours for the weekend, cooler weather may be coming. Thanks again to everyone who came out for berries despite the heat. Not quite so many mosquitoes now.

GREEN BENCH ORCHARD UPDATE
SATURDAY JULY 20 4701 South Ave. West, Missoula
Thanks to all the pickers, more than 200 pints of raspberries were picked in the last 3 days. There’s still more ready and more are on the way very soon. I need Sunday and Monday to get water on the plants. My plan as of now is to be open for picking on Tuesday the 23rd, and Thursday the 25th, from 9:30 to 11:00. I will post again on Thursday with information about open hours for next weekend. Thanks again to everyone who came out for berries despite the heat.

GREEN BENCH ORCHARD UPDATE
THURSDAY JULY 18 4701 South Ave. West, Missoula
A LOT of berries were harvested today and there are more available, and more getting ripe every day. Also the mosquitoes weren’t bad today, but be prepared in case they are active. I will be open from 9:30 to 11:00 on Friday, the 19th, and Saturday the 20th. I’m only starting early in the day because the weather is so hot right now. I will be closed Sunday and Monday, the 21st and 22nd, There should be more berries available next week and I will post open times and dates next week

GREEN BENCH ORCHARD UPDATE
TUESDAY JULY 16 4701 South Ave. West, Missoula
Next day for U-Pick raspberries at Green Bench Orchard, will be THURSDAY, JULY 18, from 10-11 AM. The berry supply is coming on strong now, so are the mosquitoes at times so bring your bug spray. Plenty of berries now and we normally have new berries coming on every 3 days or so until the end of the season. I will continue to post open dates and times.

First day for U-Pick raspberries at Green Bench Orchard, will be TUESDAY, JULY 16, from 10-11 AM. The berry supply is somewhat limited, the plants are not in full production yet. We normally have new berries coming on every 3 days or so until the end of the season. I will continue to post open dates and times.

GREEN BENCH UPDATE 7/3/24
Raspberries are a week or so behind the normal time to start U-Pick. Apples are coming along, and they are normally ready for U-Pick starting about the beginning of September. I will post again several days before opening for U-Pick raspberries. Have a safe 4th of July and enjoy this great weather. Farmer Fred

GREEN BENCH UPDATE 6/10/24
Bees and insects are finished pollinating the apples and they’ve moved on to work on the raspberries. Raspberries could be ready for U-Pick as soon as 3 weeks! Watch here for opening days.

We have an abundance of apples developing right now, and they need to be thinned to produce quality apples for U-Pick in a couple of months.

LOOKING FOR A FEW PEOPLE INTERESTED IN TRADING YOUR TIME THINNING APPLES FOR BAGS OF APPLES LATER IN THE SUMMER. TRAINING PROVIDED, SEND ME AN EMAIL IF YOU WANT TO SPEND SOME TIME IN THE ORCHARD IN RETURN FOR APPLES IN THE FALL.
