It is with extreme sadness that I must announce, wildwood pet spa will be closing our location at 134 broad st south Monmouth. Our last day will be Friday November 3rd. Unfortunately the economy has taken a toll on my business. I want to thank everyone who has been with me since day one and watched me build my dream. Thank you for supporting me! And to the new comers, thank you for trusting me to provide the best care for your pets, I will sincerely miss everyone. This unfortunately will be a quick closing, this is my last week in business. I have a few salons I can recommend, I cannot speak for some of their work so please do some research when choosing a new groomer to care for your furry family member. My number one recommendation would be Fresh Pets in Dallas. She operates similarly to how I do 1:1, stress free environment. However she is booked for the rest of the year. I am not sure if she’s taking on new clients for next year but I would give her a call if the 1:1 service is important to you. My next recommendation would be Dapper dog in independence, they also work 1:1 and would likely be able to get you in this year. They do have a few groomers working at once but each groomer only works on one dog at a time. Next up is Doggy Dreams in Monmouth, they have a fantastic reputation here and have some amazingly talented groomers. They can accommodate 1:1 service but need to be aware this is something your looking for.

Our Halloween event is CANCELED.

- Searching for Volunteers! -

We feel so blessed to have saved as many dogs as we have, but as we approach the holiday season, our volunteer participation has waned (specifically reference checkers) and we’re now searching for more volunteers!

Some positions can be done fully remote, like the reference checkers, and others we offer gift cards (like transporters, we offer gas cards). We also constantly searching for event volunteers where you hang out with pups!

Interested in a role? Here’s what we’re looking for:

🐾 3-5 hours a week
🐾 Comfortable with speaking with various populations (reference checkers)!
🐾 Ability to communicate clearly and kindly to our foster and adoption coordinators in regards to collecting information
🐾 Values must align with our force free rescue and our mission statement
🐾 We will train you!!!
🐾 Rescue or shelter experience highly desired.
🐾Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record

Wildwood will be participating in the Monmouth downtown trick or treating event on Halloween from 4-6pm 🎃 Stop by to get some candy and take a photo with our photo booth. We will also be holding a pet costume contest! You’ll need to submit your photo of your pet in costume to [email protected] by October 22nd, then on Halloween night people will be able to vote in person on their favorite pet in costume. First place winner will receive a free upgraded luxury spa package ($20+ value) Second place winner will receive a free nail trim. 👻

The holidays are fast approaching, if your wanting to get your dogs cleaned up and smelling good for family visits, family photos or just for the holidays in general it’s a great idea to book early. I work solo and spots fill up quick!

Some closure dates to keep in mind: we will be closed on Halloween for services but we will be open in the evening for the Monmouth downtown trick or treating event so dress up your pups, bring your kiddos and come visit! We’ll have candy, music and a background for photos. If your an adult even without kids please feel free to visit, you get candy too! Lol 🎃

November 23rd- December 5th we’ll be closed. My birthday falls right after thanksgiving so I’m giving myself a break from work before the Christmas rush lol 🦃🎂🎉

December 23rd- Jan 2nd. Last year I was open after Christmas till the new year but there just wasn’t enough business so this year I’ll be taking a break to spend some extended time with my family. 🎄✨

I just wanted to give my clients for tomorrow a heads up. My payment processing system, Square, is down so I am unsure if I will be able to take card payments tomorrow. Alternative ways to pay would be Venmo, an invoice or cash. Venmo & cash options are the cheapest for me as far as processing fees but if you need me to send an invoice I will. A reminder that invoices will need to be paid by 5pm close of day.
