📣 March is Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month📣

Do you know what the most dangerous poisons to your pets are?
Do you know that most of the top 10 common poisons are found in our homes?

Not to worry if you answered no to either of the above , we have all the information right here for you, on a handy poster, so you can keep your pets safe and away from poisons.

As you can see from the picture most of these poisons are very common items we'd all have at home such as chocolate, vitamins, paracetamol and lilies.

It's so important to act quickly if you think your pet has consumed any of these poisons. If you have found what your pet has eaten, packaging or remains of it then you should bring this with you to your vets.

At the end of each year we tally our numbers of TNR (trap, neuter, return) and kittens placed in good homes. We are always proud of our numbers. This year we placed more kittens than any previous year! We worked through ringworm (worse than any other year - poor Tammy Boan), Coccidia that would not go away easily, and upper respiratory worse than ever before. And still we adopted out more kittens this year than ever. We were exhausted and took December off (well that was the goal lol). Here are our numbers:

August is National Immunization Awareness Month, so we want to take this opportunity to remind you that pets need vaccinations, too!

In addition to their annual wellness exam, our pets need to be vaccinated against specific diseases that can seriously affect their health or even cause death. The state of North Carolina also requires that dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies.

Hello Cat Family!! BARN CAT HOMES NEEDED. We have a wonderful lady in our community that is undergoing chemo right now. She is unable to take care of numerous cats and I have taken on the task of trying to help out. A large number of them will be barn cats and the others I will be posting for adoption. IF you have a farm and could use one or two barn cats, please let us know. We are willing to deliver anywhere in NC or SC at no cost to you. These will be Rabies vaccinated and spay/neutered when you get them - NO FEES will be charged. Just give them a good home.

Our 501c3 rescue is near and dear to Tammy, JB and I. We always are trying to do all we can to save a kitten and get a Mom TNR'ed (not really a word) so she won't need our help in getting her babies taken care of with good homes. For those of you that didn't get our end of the year total here it is :) and we are super proud - we took in, vetted, domesticated and adopted out 41 kittens this year (last year we did 35). We did TNR on 76 adult cats so they won't be having more babies. A bit smaller than last year's 161 but with COVID and a few other things we are proud of our 76!! Thank you all that donate and pray for our rescue!

My mother-in-law spends countless hours throughout the year buying and collecting baby dolls of all kinds. She cleans them and sews new clothes for them all. Then she carefully makes them all a wardrobe, with purses and shoes to match every occasion. At Christmas, her heart’s desire is to gift each one to a little girl in need. If you know someone please reach out to me. We have carefully prepared over 200 dolls this year and need to place them in the arms of a child. No questions asked. We really need to find children to bless because it BLESSED her heart so much!

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile but here is the reason ..... we have been busy - to date this year we have provided TNR to 55 cats and have 21 scheduled before the end of the year. We have taken in, vetted and adopted out 23 kittens and right now vetting and working to domesticate 9 more kittens. Not a lot unless you are the one doing the work but we love what we do! We are certainly blessed with a wonderful "Cat Family" like you all that keeps up with what we are doing and pray for us and the kittens when needed. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Seriously. Yesterday alone we had 4 phone calls of people wanting to dump their pets. People seriously told me they work and don't have time. (Um I work full time plus and still run a rescue so please don't tell me you don't have time for a hamster) What happened to responsibility and accountability?

Please don't cry.
I want to explain some things to you.
You're sad that I'm gone, but I'm glad to have met you.
How many dogs like me d-i-e every day without having met someone special like you?.
I know you are saddened by my departure, but I had to leave now.
I want to ask you not to blame yourself.
I heard you sobbing that you should have done something more for me. Don't say that, you've done a lot for me!
Without you, I would have known nothing of the beauty I carry with me today.
You must know that we animals live intensely in the present. Our lives begin when we know love, the same love you gave me, my wingless angel.
Please don't cry anymore. I leave happy.
I remember the name you gave me, the warmth of your house which at that time became mine. I hear the sound of his voice talking to me, even if I don't always understand what he is saying to me.
I carry in my heart every caress you gave me.
Wash your face and start smiling. There are many like me waiting for someone like you.
Please give them what you gave me, they need it like I needed you. ❤

Our next Express Vaccine Clinic is April 28th. Rabies vaccines will be a special price of $10 for rabies awareness. Rabies is a deadly virus for wildlife, pets and humans that is found all over the world. South & North Carolina require dogs, cats & ferrets to be up-to-date on this vaccine for everyone’s safety. 🐾🐶😺

Animal abandonment is a crime. If you are not prepared to care for an animal for its natural lifetime, don't get a pet. Indoor cats, especially, will not make it on their own outdoors -- regardless of weather. They never learned to hunt and the outdoors is a scary place for them as they've never had to fend for themselves. Be responsible. Don't ever dump an animal.

SnipWell is having a first come, first serve vaccine clinic on October 28th betweent 8 am and 2 pm. This is a great time to get your pet in for basic preventative care without an appointment!

This clinic visit will be curbside service. Our staff will provide you with further details upon arrival.

No medical concerns will be treated on this day. If a medical concern arises during the appointment, a medical concern appointment will be scheduled for another day.

We accept cash and card only. No Care Credit or checks.
