This has come up a few times this year. How do I receive payment? Cash or venmo. I don't take checks or zelle., apple pay, blood, or iou. I have my reasons. Checks bounce, I don't use mobile checking and I don't plan on it. Fuel costs are too much to drive a town or 2 over for me to deposit. Filing my taxes, this is a business. It's another form of payment I have to keep track of. I have had clients send zelle after being sent my venmo. Given checks after telling them I do not accept checks. Payment is to be left at time if service or venmoed after service. Fuel costs are too much for me to be driving to and from clients to get paid for a service I provided you. Please going forward be more considerate to my requirements and if you have a question don't hesitate to ask. I understand people forget especially when my services are only used here and there.

I haven't posted in a while because quite frankly I've been busy! Between old clients and new clients. The new baby horse and my other farm animals and the farm work to be done has had me sun up to sun down! I'm looking forward to a busy summer!

The hardest part of my job is when I'm no longer needed. 😫 Building a bond with the animals you see every day. You become attached. While they aren't physically yours you see their character and personalities and you fall in love with all their quirks. Enjoying the moments and time I have left before they move on to a new location with their families.

Yesterday I did something special for my son and took him for glass blowing, then we took an evening stroll along the beach looking for rocks. I often work so much, I loose track of the days and miss out on a lot of quality moments I should be having. As much as I love what I do, it consumes 98% of my time. So it was important I took a little time out.

Today we had adventures with Luna. She's a 6 month old puppy that will be staying with us 2 days a week while mom is at work to work on her manners and basic obedience skills. We can accommodate one more client for Mondays and Friday's.

I'm honestly shocked I have to make this post. I am not some franchise or conglomerate business. I am a single mom who struggles every day paycheck to paycheck. I do not charge for cancelations. I am extremely understanding when your kids are home sick or there's been a problem and my services are not needed. I have given up so much or my own wants and needs. Sometimes defaulting payments because a client didn't pay me or had to cancel a service. I have gone without meals to make sure my child has whatever he needs. My business is not a consistent flow of money. I have to budget and save to make sure my bills are covered when times are slow. Tonight I am in absolute shock for how I was treated. The disregard for me as a person. I worked. Arranged for someone to watch my son so that I could meet a client who I've always serviced before because there were issues last time with wild critters getting to the food. A problem I dealt with. I cleaned up racoon messes. They wanted to change things and have me come by. Might i also add they scheduled service maybe a week in advance. I call and then follow up with a text. Which I included the screen shot. I show up to my clients house to be told they will be keeping the cats in the garage and I was not needed! Here's my issue with all this. I spent my time getting a sitter for my child. I spent my time, my fuel, my vehicle driving to their location. To be told something that could have been done over the phone! I am beyond upset and will never do service with them again. Now the reason for this post is to remind everyone I am human! I am not just a service. I have my own life, my own family and my own bills. If you don't need me that's fine! But please show me some respect and don't waste my time. Communicate to me by phone, email or messenger.
