4th of July is fast approaching and we all know some pets that do not enjoy fireworks as much as we do.

So, if you need medication to help your furry friend get through the festivities, please get it refilled by next week so you have it in time.
Otherwise, some helpful tips to get them through the holiday are:
Keep them in a dark quiet room that is secure, stay home with them, keep a tv or radio on for them, update microchips or IDs and use meds or calming sprays if needed.
Please call the office if you have questions on helping your pet!
And just a reminder we are closed for the 4th of July, but will resume normal business hours on Friday the 5th starting at 730am.
Thank you!

As the summer starts to hit, please be mindful of these helpful tips to keep your pet safe and cool! 🌞

Attention!
Bring your cash or checkbook when you come to the vet clinic to avoid a 4% charge to your debit or credit card. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and yes, we still take cards here at the office. The credit card companies have recently increased transaction fees for us. Thank you for your continued service and understanding.

Attention!
With this warm weather, we have seen a rise in ticks and with a rise in ticks, we have seen a rise in tick illnesses.
Since the beginning of the year, we have had close to 30 positive cases of lyme disease (granted we do not test every patient coming in here, only the ones who are sick and showing symptoms).

That's 30 positive cases!! Yikes!!
Please take caution of this. Tick illnesses can have long-term affects on your pet's overall well-being.

If you are picking ticks off of your pet, get them on protection now!

Products we carry now for fleas and ticks are Simparica Trio, Credelio, Vectra, Seresto Collars, Bravecto, and Nexgard.

Products we carry for heartworm prevention are Simparica Trio, Interceptor, Sentinel, and now Heartgard.
Please reach out if you have questions about these products.

Happy New Year Everyone!

We hope everyone had a great holiday season!

Just a few new items here at the MVS/reminders…

We have a new texting system for reminders and for communication. We have been using this more to remind you of appointments, surgeries and this is also a good way we can communicate better with our clients about sick patients. The number you can text for questions/send pictures or confirm appointments is 608-975-3037. We also encourage you to use this number for medicine refill requests. Please note-our staff does not answer this after hours. You will still need to call the office for after-hours questions and emergencies.

We are still implementing the “10 min policy”- if you are 10 mins or more late to your appointment, we will reschedule you. We also still have our no-show policy; if appointments aren’t canceled 24 hours ahead of time you will be charged the cost of the office call. Business is very hectic, and we are all pressed for time (including you) and we are doing our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.

Like everything else, things are taking a price increase. This also applies to us. We will be having a price increase on some products and services so please be aware of this and ask staff to clarify pricing when you make any appointments or order medications.

There will be no charging to account for any small animal services.

Please bring all dogs into the clinic on a leash and all cats into carriers. If you are in need of a carrier or leash, please reach out before your appointment.

We advise you to use our online pharmacy for easy access to your pet’s medications or food. It will be directly sent to your house. Go to www.myvetstoreonline.pharmacy and create an account.

We are booking up fast! When you get your reminder that your pet is due for vaccines, please schedule promptly. In some cases, we book out 2 months in advance. If you have an emergency, we get you in as soon as we possibly can. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

As always, we ask that you continue this new year with respect and kindness to our staff. We are already running on fumes and our staff and doctors are trying very hard to be accommodating to everyone so please treat them as you would want to be treated.

We would like to thank our past, present and future clients for your business!

MVS Staff and Doctors.

The clinic will be closing today at 12:00 for the safety of our staff.

01/09/2024

Just letting everyone know we have decided to close the office for the safety of our employees. We will still have a doctor running small animal and large animal emergency only. STAY SAFE AND WE WILL PLAN ON OPENING BACK UP TOMORROW AT REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS .

"Small doses of gratitude can produce a harvest of hope"

Tis the season to offer a little bit more to those who may go without.

Now through November 20th, Montfort Veterinary Service will be accepting non-perishable food items to disburse to the local food pantries or those in need around Thanksgiving.
Every time you bring in non-perishable food items to the clinic, you will be entered into a drawing for a basket.
Help us, help others!
Thank you.

Just a friendly reminder:
Tick season is still upon us which means any tick borne illness is still thriving!
We have had several dogs come in lately that have been diagnosed and treated for lymes disease or other tick illness.
We recommend still providing protection against ticks until a couple good frosts hit the ground, but doing prevention year round is not a bad idea.
Please come and see us if you need a refill on flea, tick or heartworm prevention.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

Puppies today! These 4 females came in to us for their puppy checks! They are all available. So happy and healthy and ohhhh so sweet!! Please call the office for owner information.

We are writing to inform everyone that effective January 1st, 2023 we implemented a no show/cancellation policy that stated if appointments or surgeries were not cancelled within 24 hours or those that failed to show for their appointment/surgery would be charged a no-show fee. This is posted on our website and within our clinic.

We understand that things come up or you may have simply forgotten your appointment time. However, we have people on callellation and waiting lists for earlier appointments due to the fact that we are booking out 4-6 weeks out. Just like your time, ours is also valuable. A missed appointment is a loss of revenue, increased work for office staff to reschedule and a missed opportunity for someone to be seen sooner.

If you would like a courtesy phone call prior to your appointment time please let office staff know and they would happy to do so. We also utilize a new reminder system that will prompt you via text and/or email of an upcoming visit.

The balance on which you are charged for a missed appointment will have to be paid before your next routine visit, sick work up or any medication is dispensed.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Regards,
