“Arctic” finally went to his new home today! We bounced back after we were spurned last week 😅 but I do believe it was meant to be because the family he went to is just awesome and I know without a doubt he is going to be very loved! His family are naming him Archie which I absolutely adore! 🩵

We had a sad and difficult reminder today and that is, that unfortunately some people can be very unkind and dishonest. It was a typical but extensive exchange, the woman wanted a kitten and after a supposed discussion with her husband, they were ready to proceed. The contract was signed, deposit was paid, date and time for delivery was set. So off we go with little Arctic on an almost 4hr drive. We meet at the designated spot but to my surprise and confusion, I’m not met with the typical excitement and cry of “awww”. It’s a facial expression that someone would make when you’re expecting a Yorkie but they pull out a chihuahua. They pass the kitten around between the four of them (it’s pretty darn hot outside being that it’s Arizona and we’re standing in a parking lot so not exactly comfortable weather for a kitten). However, I don’t rush them but am confused on why we’re still just standing around and why she looks… well frankly like she’s holding a deformed creature and not a beautiful Ragdoll kitten. We are then told that they need to discuss it in the car and decide. Umm decide what?? Did they really truly just put this kitten through HOURS of driving just to look at him and say no? Surely not. When people sign a contract and pay a deposit it’s because they want that particular animal. Well that was exactly what they did. After 20mins of talking in their car she sent her husband out to let us know that she wasn’t “bonding” with him and she had just wanted to see him to see if she’d like him. We parted with a patronizing statement that they’ll let us keep the deposit (as if it’s not non refundable anyway and they are being kind to let us keep it). And 8hrs later we’re back at home still in disbelief that people could actually be that inconsiderate. To the many people I’ve sold a kitten to, they know I do my absolute best to make sure they are happy and comfortable with their decision. I’ve never had someone treat us like that in our time of doing this but I suppose it’ll just be something we’ll have to learn from. The many happy families and kids I’ve seen get their kitten outweigh this one negative experience. I know a loving family will find Arctic and be over the moon at the sight of him 💙

Bonnie (Mink Ragdoll) just can’t resist when our rescue, Tate, is happily sleeping. When she wants cuddles she’s getting cuddles, she goes over there and just plops herself right on top of him. In the second picture, she’s sound asleep and he’s that poor grey fluff being smothered under her 😆
