While it is beneficial for dogs to socialize, it is not strictly necessary for every dog to have to play with other dogs. Several factors can influence the necessity and extent of socialization:

Posy already trained with a "different trainer" when she was 7 months old.
But over the past year, she's had a few incidents in public where she LUNGED at people seemingly at random.
