The Morrisonville Dog Park is temporarily closed. The Town of Plattsburgh Water/Wastewater Department is working on the well adjacent to the dog park.

We will post again when the park is re-opened.

The Morrisonville Dog Park is now re-opened! Thank you to the Town of Plattsburgh Building & Grounds Staff for completing this project.

The Morrisonville Dog Park will be closed from Wednesday October 19th through Sunday October 23rd. We will re-open the park on Monday October 24th. This temporary closure of the dog park will allow the Building and Grounds staff to add the much needed new entryway at the park.

We would like to thank the Friends of the Morrisonville Dog Park Group for donating funds for this project.

Hi Dog Park Fans-
We just wanted to let you know the dog park pond has been drained for normal maintenance. If the brook water level stays up, we will try to fill the pond again soon. We hope you enjoy the rest of August!

Hi everyone -

With the nicer weather, we are seeing more folks at the Morrisonville Dog Park! We enjoy seeing your best dog-friends out at the park. However, we just wanted to share the rules again so that we can ensure people are following them all.

We have received several complaints about large dogs being in the small dog area. Please, continue to follow the posted rules which state: "The small dog enclosure is only for dogs weighing less than 30 pounds and no large dogs are permitted in the area. The large dog area is for dogs weighing 30 pounds or more. Small dogs are allowed in the large dog enclosure, but at their own risk."

Hi Morrisonville Dog Park Fans -
Yesterday, we were made aware that the back gate at the dog park has a missing latch and the lock has been removed. We will be fixing this issue, but also as a reminder this gate is not to be used by anyone other than employees to enter the dog park. Please, continue to use the entrance by the parking lot. Just like you, we want to keep our furry friends safe inside the park. We appreciate you helping us do this. Thanks!

Update on the pond...the water level of the brook is not high enough to properly fill the pond. We will not fill the pond if it can't be filled to a safe level for our furry friends. Let's hope Mother Nature sends us lots of rain (overnight!).
