**UPDATE, SOLD OUT OF EGGS FOR TODAY**

It's molting season here on the homestead. Molting is the process which birds go through to replace old and possibly damaged feathers. While this is a natural and necessary process chickens go through to insure they have the perfect plumage for temperature regulation and protection, it does affect egg production because it's hard work! Adding some extra protein into their diets can help speed up the process but ultimately it just happens in its own time and it can take many weeks. That being said, there is only 1 dozen eggs in the stand today 🤭🤣. Thank you to everyone who blessed us with cartons, it is greatly appreciated!

Needing to move some layers, soon to be layers, and extra roosters to make room as i have incubators hatching out in a week! Anyone local need chickens before we just process them out? There are some assorted pure breeds and several beautiful creations we mixed up here at the homestead. Several brahma, easter egger, and cochin crosses that will be cold hearty birds and should start laying this winter. Some fibromelanosis (ayam cemani & svarthona) cross (a few zombies) too.. If there is enough interest, I can take the time to take individual pictures and maybe do a silent/comment auction? If you are interested would you please leave a comment so I can know if it's worth my time or if we should just turn them into dinners 😊

Good afternoon Morrisville community and all you beautiful people! We've been blessed with some amazing weather which leads to happy hens over here 🐔😁 And with the cooler temps, I should be able to stock the stand again on a regular basis without fear of the eggs cooking or incubating in there!
Today we have eggs available but there's a catch....I am out of the 1 dozen egg cartons! 🤦‍♀️🙀
I have 5 of the 18 count, $3 each.
There is 1 dozen of small/medium size in there for $1.
1 dozen med/large for $2.

So, I have a request for dozen size egg cartons if you have any you don't need. There is a box inside the stand where they can be placed if you have any to donate. Please and thank you 😊.

Now on to some other exciting news. My youngest daughter's button quail are laying eggs and they are fertile! She is so excited! We have 8 young button quail available now and hatch-able button quail eggs! They are a fun and educational pet project and so very cute 😍.

Okay, so if you have kept with my ramblings so far in this forever long post, I have been wanting to do something fun that might help someone out at the same time, and I believe I have decided to do 5 different raffles. Winners choice of one of either:
A) A full flat (30 eggs) of my homesteads choice premium hatching eggs, assorted breeds
-OR-
B) 15, day old baby chicks
-OR-
C) 1, 12 week old bunny (can pick from several colors, breeds, and genders
-OR-
D) The 8 button quail mentioned above
-OR-
E) Coupons redeemable for 5 dozen chicken eggs free. Do not have to get all 5 dozen at one time.

The drawings will be held via Facebook live video September 24, 2024 (In 2 weeks time), time TBA on this post at a later time. Here's how to enter: Tickets are $1 for each opportunity.

The tickets for the drawing can be found in the farm stand on the black shelf, just use the suggestion box papers. You will need to write out your name, phone number, # of entries, and which prize drawing you'd like to enter. Insert entries and corresponding payment into cash box inside farm stand. If you are entering more than one of the raffles, please use a separate ticket for each different drawing. I think all that makes sense 😊 but If you have any questions, feel free to comment on this post or message.

UPDATE: Good morning again today: We have 7 dozen eggs, some farm fresh tomatoes ( $1.00 a box) and 2 cucumbers (for $1.00) in the farm stand and ready to go home with you. Have a blessed day!
Good Tuesday Morrisville! It's supposed to be a beautiful day and not super hot so eggs are in the stand at the end of the drive 😊. Small/med 18 count $1, all else is $2.
A new addition, my son's ducks have started laying so there are 6 duck eggs available! We also have button quail eggs if there are any interest. Taking only 3 minutes to hard boil, they are a wonderfully creamy addition to a salad or just a bite size snack!
Now that the pleasantries are finished....a little request from us here.... As I'm sure most of you have guessed, by having $1 sale days, I don't make any profit off that, I only do that to give back. I know most of you have to be feeling the crunch of ever rising food costs and I like being able to provide healthy farm fresh eggs at a discount to help out those in my community. That being said, if you are a fellow egg or farm stand, please don't take advantage of my sales to buy them and then mark them up to your prices and re-sale. That doesn't help my community, only your sales, which is not my intention. Obviously I cannot prevent this from happening, I can only ask that you think about the others in the community that may benefit from the discount and use it to feed their families.
