It is super hot and humid here. Reminds me why I left Florida. I was grateful for the indoor air conditioned lecture room Friday. This is my second HEG as an auditor and handler. Last year was good, this year it was even better . I highly recommend attending one or more no matter how long you have been training dogs .

UDC members Melodie Limpach, Emma Bobbitt, & Justin Petty attended Joeri Veth’s Helper Engineering Garage “HEG” this last weekend in Bonne Terre, Mo. These seminars are designed to teach Training Helper foundations & fundamentals.
Joeri Veth has been a UDC member in good standing for many years and has trained numerous Dobermanns to a UDC National podium.

"What about IGP training creates injuries in our dogs?" It is an excellent question that every IGP handler should ask themselves if they are serious about this sport for their dogs.

👀 Attention from our dogs, like any other effectively created response, needs to come from a place of inspiration.

No one has to force a dog to watch a squirrel dancing across the backyard. 🐿️

🐶 🐶 🐶Attention from your dog is a by-product of effective, inspired training rather than a single response that requires “training.”

When you get it right, your dog will never want to take his eyes off of you, and you will have to create a new response: inspired focus forward towards something else!
