Shane with Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. was here!

Shane stopped by the store and so graciously put this complete Bioactive terrarium together. We're going to give this away to one lucky guest this weekend!

No purchase will be necessary to enter for a chance to take this terrarium home. Simply stop by Friday or Saturday this weekend (8/16 and 8/17) and we will pull one lucky name Tuesday 8/20! One entry per household please.

Things I'll have reasonably tagged at Sewerfest this Sunday: not this tiny baby leachie on my index finger, no sir! Because he just hatched this morning.

What will be there for a reasonable tag (because I have bird costs to make up for) are a few very, very well-started leachies instead. Like this wrinklechunk hogging the rest of my fingers.

Come on out and pick up a grumpy pickle of your very own!

Just keep in mind that it's summer - if you're going home with anything living, plan ahead and bring a nice cooler for the trip home.

Check out this gorgeous Bioactive terrarium build we put together, for two of our amazing guests and friends!

This will house a trio of Eleutherodactylus coqui, tree frogs.
We used some beautiful variegated creeping fig and various marcgravia sp. on the background. Once those grow in this will end up looking completely wild. Live sheet moss was utilized as a carpet, along with various pumilia, peperomia, begonia and other exotic cuttings to bring this tank to life.

Egyptian Spiny Mice!!!!! SUPER neat and friendly mice. Communal and active little guys, very handleable, and great pets. We have a bunch of these fun little guys all setup in store. Come see them!
