We love getting updates from our puppies. This girl just completed obedience/hunter training and the trainer told her owner that he’d never seen that kind of high drive in a white lab before! So nice - you go girl!

There was a beautiful sunset while Oakley was practicing her work last night. She recently came home from the trainer who said she had progressed through 3 months of retriever skills in just 2 months (guess she’s an over-achiever 😉). She’s force fetched, collar-conditioned, is running single/double retrieves, doing pile work and t-patterns - plus more that I’m still learning about 😬. She has a ton of drive, is fast as a rocket, and wags her tail all the way back with her retrieve. So much fun.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on us following the devastating tornado which struck down in western Kentucky on Friday night. While we and our dogs are safe (about 20 miles from the primary area it hit), our prayers are with all those who have lost loved ones and are facing the terrible destruction left behind. Prayers too for all the rescue and relief efforts that have begun and will likely be ongoing for some time.
