Clay Gully Road is NOW OPEN ‼️

UPDATE (4:30 p.m.) - Manatee County has the road open for a single lane of traffic controlled with temporary signals. The single lane of traffic is limited to a short distance of Myakka Road between the Myakka River and Clay Gully Road. The remainder of Myakka Road will continue to operate as a two-lane facility.

UPDATE (1:55 p.m.) - Manatee County advised their set-up to reopen the road is taking longer than expected. The revised timeframe is later this afternoon/early evening.

MYAKKA ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE

Manatee County has provided a plan, signed and sealed by a Manatee County, Florida Government professional engineer licensed in Florida, to reopen one lane of Myakka Road with steel plates over the culverts of concern. Traffic flow through the one-lane section will be controlled by temporary signals. Sarasota County Public Works has taken no exception to Manatee County’s plan and is coordinating to remove county road closure signage. Manatee County intends to reopen the road within the next 1-2 hours. Sarasota County will continue working on efforts with Manatee County to develop a permanent resolution to the deteriorated culverts under Myakka Road.

Good morning everyone, as most of you know Fruitville Feed is closing. BUT Terranova Equestrian Center is opening a feed store, Terranova Feed & Fence. They are taking ALL my suppliers & will be keeping everything the same phone number, pricing ext.. they even want Sheila and I to work for them and maintain the same service. The only difference should be the location. Deliveries will stay in place with me making sure it still is done properly. There will be a few bumps in the road but I will be there and try and make things as smooth as possible. I want to thank everyone for all your kind words, it’s been emotional for me saying good buy but now I can still be apart of it through Terranova .

Good morning everyone, most of you know by now that I have sold the feed store. I wish it was sold with the intention of keeping it a feed store. The world has become a crazy place since 2020. I have had a standing help wanted sign for the past 3 years. Our business keeps growing and there are fewer people to fill the positions needed for me to keep going. January 31st will be our last day. Come see come save, Parish General & Myakka all carry Nutrena and come see said they are willing to pick up our deliveries. It will take a bit for them to adjust to your needs, let them know ahead so they have time to order what you need. I’m so thankful for the 18 1/2 years with ALL of you !!! You have ALL been like family to me.
