I absolutely love these shots from this past weekend.

We of course had to commemorate the First National with a āwinā photo. Risk took 4th out of 6 class dogs in the 9-12 puppy sweeps and 4th out of 8 in the 9-12 puppy regular class. Calliope took 2nd by default but handled so well.
Well everyone, thatās a wrap for the WildWood Mudis at the National Specialty. We did great in some things, and a little less great in some others. Risk managed to place in his class on specialty day in the midst of his fear phase and I am so incredibly proud of him for that. And Calliope was spunky, brave and out going in everything she did. Both dogs are coming home with some new titles! Pending AKC approval they should now be

A huge thank you to Dennis for tagging along with me since Lacy couldnāt come along, and being my cheering section, helper, and for capturing the memories of not only our first national, but my first ever big show that will last forever.
Thank you Natasha Veer for sending me this wonderful little boy. Iām so excited to see how heās grows up! And hope we can make you proud.
And thank you Denise Graves for my little golden child Calliope. That little girl has grown up and matured so nicely.
We were able to watch some friends make some awesome accomplishments. And we met so many wonderful new people and hope to continue some new Mudi friendships for the future.
Until next timeā¦..
Nothing like being punched by a full speed Mudi.
National Specialty day!
Risk took 4th out of 6 in his sweepstakes class in conformation and 4th out of 8 in his regular class out of 8 lovely young boys.
Puberty is hitting this boy hard recently and he lost a few brain cells, but we are making this as fun as possible for him so he can get his groove back.
Calliope earned her BCAT title today! Yesterday she ran her PB time of 9.17 seconds. She also tried CAT for the first time today as well, she did pretty well for being tired and ran a Qualifying run.
Calliope earned her Dock Novice title today with a new Personal Best of 7 feet!
Risk got his first jumps on record with a best of 8 feet 6 inches. He was a little nervous but once he was in the water he refused to come out š¤¦š¼āāļø
Calliope couldnāt let Risk have all the fun. She also earned her Farm Dog Certification title today. As well as logged her first 2 runs towards her BCat with a time of 9.72 and 9.19.
Risk added a few letters to his name today. Not only did he get his Farm Dog Certification title, he also earned his Canine Good Citizen and his Trick Dog Novice!
Roka Brio 9 months.
Happy International dog day from the Mudis!
The count down to the Specialty in on! Risk is thrilled, Calliope, maybe slightly less thrilled.
Calliope is patiently waiting until we leave for Kentucky next week. 1 week countdown until the national specialty!!
Do we possibly have the very first road trial Mudi on our hands??? Risks first lesson in working next to a horse went very well.
Someone says sheās ready for Spooky season. Our latest tractor supply find.
Just a couple of Mudis doing Mudi things.
The princess just chilling at the dealership waiting for her truck to get the oil changed.
We have a future in dock diving folks. Risk is finally figured it out and is jumping off the big dock like itās his job. Heās already hitting an average on 9 feet. This boy is so sporty. Calliope we already knew was part fish.
The princess rests in her favorite napping spot while impatiently awaiting Mama to return from storm duty.
Look what we got from our friends at Midwest Monograms! We canāt wait to take this with us to hang at our campsite at the Specialty at the end of the month!
Calliope got her first qualifying jumps off the dock at the Inlet Flyers August Awesomness. Little girl jumped 6,3ā then beat that to jump 6ā6ā her personal best jump. This girl has so much fun in the water, and sheās so confident on the dock, even with the commotion.
Just a puppy and his best friend. Risk is wonderful around the horses at the barn.
Calliope says sheās ready to hit the pool. Sheās got her swim suit on.
Smile! Itās the weekend!
Our little boy looks so grown up.
Roka Brio, not quite 8 months old
Best of Winners for a 3 point Major on 7/20/24
Super proud of both Mudis after the Concord show yesterday.
Risk went best of winners, making his first points a 3 point major! He showed like a confident little pro.
Calliope did not get any love but she was a happy little girl. She prefers to play with her friends than hang out in the ring.
The WildWood Mudis are headed to Kentucky!
Risk and Calliope will be traveling all the way to Kentucky at the end of next month for the Mudi Club of America National Specialty show. We are so excited (we couldnāt wait to share our catalog add, thank you Rushlight Media)! We hope to check quite a few things off our list over 5 days.
Our plans for Calliope include conformation, FastCat, dock diving, and trick dog.
Our plans for Risk include conformation, canine good citizen, trick dog, dock diving, and farm dog certification.
We hope to represent our Mudis well and make Graves Farm and Roka Mudis proud.
Raptor will also be tagging along, and participating in some of the fun if he is up for it.
Not gonna say any names, but Calliope.
Sheās dramatic and I wouldnāt have it any other way (Ė¶įµ įµ įµĖ¶)

Our Risky boy went into the big boy ring for the very first time yesterday, and while we didnāt walk away with any points he still handled himself very well. Little man is growing up too fast!
