Going the extra mile is lonely.
Doing what you have to do to get where you want to be isn’t simply easy.
It’s lots of late nights and early mornings.
It’s driving extra miles so your horse can stay at home where they are most comfortable.
It’s missing dinners and other social activities while putting the horse first.
It’s draining your entire savings to make sure your horse is feeling their best.
I see you. Keep putting the horse first. Your time is coming 💜

Maybe it wasn’t your turn.

Maybe it wasn’t your turn to win the short-go or the average.

Maybe it wasn’t your turn to win a state championship.

Maybe it wasn’t your turn to set an arena record.

Maybe it wasn’t your turn to win a national title.

It doesn’t mean that you weren’t ready to take it home, maybe it just means it wasn’t your turn.

Maybe it means there’s still lots of work to do.

Everyone shows up believing it’s their turn. At the end of the day, there’s only one winner.

One person. One turn.

Maybe it wasn’t your turn.

Maybe it should’ve been.

Either way, there is still a lot more to learn from losing a turn than taking home a title.
