Update on our Sweet Stella Nova! After her summer hair cut she had a vet check-up and she is doing great. Since her spay she is getting fat and sassy! We are surely blessed we didn't lose her! ♥️

We have had a very scary week! Our precious Stella rapidly grew weak, losing 4 lbs within days. Even with my 27 years of experience in the veterinary field, we were puzzled by her condition. We ran bloodwork that showed she had pancreatitis and was severely anemic. Due to her being long-term bred, our treatment options were limited.
After intensive care and no improvement for several days, Stella started having dark green discharge. As an emergency measure, we decided to preform a spay. The surgery revealed that her puppies had been deceased for weeks. It was a shocking discovery. The surgery was not without complications, but we are so grateful that our Stella is now recovering at home!

As this year comes to a close we would like to thank everyone who chose us for their new fur-ever family member! We have enjoyed meeting all of the families and hope y'all love your babies as much as we do! We can't wait to see what next year brings!
