Do 1%.

Training our dogs to become the amazing companions we dream of to fit into our busy lives can be overwhelming, but I want to encourage you to do just 1%.

A little bit of training everyday, whether that be a short game in the backyard or sitting and watching people/dogs at distance or even a long hike out on the Nashville Trails will shape the dog you want to have.

So do the 1%. It is totally worth it.

We are making progress on Sitting Pretty! Jarvis is building up the muscles to be able to hold himself upright and I’m learning how to help him hold it long. I’m pleased to see that he really enjoys the behavior and actively tries to do it before I cue. Sitting Pretty is indeed a cute trick but overall it’s just a step in a behavior train we are building. I also intend to use this behavior in other ways than just showing off his cute face 😉.
