🌞Our new season "Summer 2024" is 60: /ALL. In a 60:/All Season, Teams play two 60: timed rounds per week. All catches scored per week but only the highest 5 catches per round are scored.

🏆Master Promotion for Teams that score 21-or-more raw weekly points twice in a season.

🎖Expert Promotion for Teams that score 32-or more raw weekly points twice in a season

📜Dog athletes can now earn titles!

📅New Albany Disc Dog League will be held on Wednesdays:
July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21, August 28

TOSS & FETCH/THROW N GO/TOSS-N-CATCH

New Albany Disc Dog League has always focused on two things:
1. Fostering a safe and fun vibe for humans & canines to play disc, and
2. Growing canine disc sports.

Since we have so many new members, we would like to take this moment to share some other resources and events with you! In addition, we will share some links for some summer and fall events that you can participate in, as they are similar to the game you know and are very welcoming to new-comers.

"Toss-n-Catch", "Throw N Go", "Toss & Fetch" - All of these are beginner-friendly canine disc games. The rules to these games are similar enough to weekly Toss & Fetch, that you will find them very enjoyable! Links to the respective entities are included, for your reference.

Some of the following games will be featured at some events this Summer - it would be great to see some representation from our Club!

🥏Ashley Whippet Invitational (AWI): "For ALL AWI Qualifier Toss-n-Catch rounds, including the World Championships, the Toss and Catch rules will be as follows:
ALL TEAMS MUST RUN TWO ROUNDS TO QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD FINALS.
In the Toss and Catch round, competitors are given 60 seconds in which to complete as many throws as possible with one disc." See AWI Website for more information: https://www.ashleywhippet.com/toss-n-catch

🥏UpDog Challenge: "Object of Throw N Go: Score as many points as possible by the dog member of the team catching rollers or throws in the different scoring zones within 60 seconds." See UpDog Challenge Website for more information: https://updogchallenge.com/throwngo/

🥏US Disc Dog Nationals (USDDN): "Teams competing in Toss & Fetch formats will receive a 90 second round to compete. During a team’s round, the team is allowed an unlimited number of attempts/throws with a single disc in play, but only the BEST FIVE catches will count towards the teams’ score." ‼️ 🔥Reminder to keep your dogs cool while you're out there playing any sports during the heat of the summer months.

💦💧Here are a few suggestions: drape your car with a reflective cover, use a water-filled plant sprayer to wet down your dog, use portable fans to move air and set up a canopy for shade.

Our fellow Disc Doggers team, Marissa & Chukkar competed at a Dock Diving event recently and had an amazing success:

🥈Chukkar got a podium finish at the Amateur Finals at the Dock Dogs event Bark at Noah’s Ark -He nailed a 2nd place finish!

🏆Not only did they get a 2nd Place finish - that jump also landed him a Personal Best of 12'11" - WAY TO GO TEAM!

🎉That is such an amazing accomplishment, congratulations to you both - We are celebrating this win with you!
