Thank-you again to Mark and Help Willy's Friends for donating 51 cases of wet canned dog food and 13 cases of wet canned cat food and several boxes of dog treats. These food donations were greatly needed and put to immediate use. At Fridays, we feed homeless cats throughout Connecticut every single day and in the Winter months, we feed homeless cats twice per day. We at Fridays and all the cats and dogs we rescue, house and feed greatly thank Mark and Help Willy's Friends !!

Another thank-you to Mark and Help Willy's Friends from Fridays Rescue for recent donations of more than 20 bags of dog food, nearly 100 pounds of cat litter and nearly 100 cans of wet cat food. These donations were put to immediate use and were very helpful !

Fridays Rescue would like to send a very Special Thank-You to Mark at Help Willys for their kind donation of 490 cans of wet dog food, more than 1000 pounds of dry dog food, 105 cans of wet cat food and 350 pounds of cat litter. We are grateful as are engaged with rescuing middle aged to elderly abandoned cots and cats. We also on a daily basis go out and dozens of homeless cats at various locations, during the cold winter days, we go out and feed these homeless cat twice per day. We could not do what we do without the help and support of Mark and the Help Willys organization. Thank-you again Mark !!

Friday’s Rescue Foundation

In early 2013, a few good people took a trip down south to pick up one rescue dog they found online. That night, those same people ended up taking six dogs home.

Can anyone really be prepared for the conditions of a shelter with limited funding and few regulations? If you’re a “dog person,” you have seen and heard of the deplorable conditions that are common in dog shelters in the south. However, nothing compares to seeing it first hand.

Over the course of the next few months, a kennel was purchased, a nonprofit organization was born, and a team of people all formed what is now known as Friday’s Rescue Foundation in New London, Connecticut.

At the cornerstone of our foundation is an animal hospice program. Many of the dogs we rescue are old, injured, abused, and sick. We provide medical care, medication, and the most nutritious food possible to help these “underdogs” get back on their feet. We recognize that it takes very special and dedicated people to love and care for these dogs, and we are fortunate to have an abundance of support.
