We had such a blast at our first ever Industry Night! Huge thank you to our partners and to the team of product producers who came through to show off their products and meet fellow industry folks. The spirit of the event was to put the people who make food in the same room as people who create things with food. And how special it was to have a social evening connecting with this community! Sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know about future events.

Last month we hosted a pop-up party with our friend Chef Jessie YuChen - and wow, what a blast! Jessie had a vision to celebrate both pride month and their Taiwanese heritage, so we had DJ Haoran spinning mando/canto-pop and Jessie’s team creating some amazing bites and bevs. Shrimp burgers with our greenwave mustard, watermelon shiso salad bites, five spice popcorn with edible flowers, and fried mantou with micro cilantro. Each beverage also featured Farm. One garnish, and guests got to go into the farm in small groups to see where everything was grown! It was a true celebration of the month, as well as our new space. We are so thankful to Jessie, and all of you who attended, and hope to see you at another event soon 🔥

The Chefs’ Farms of the Future

Farm. One grows rare produce in New York City urban vertical farms using hydroponics and LED lighting.

Here’s my story: At a farmer's market in 2016, I came across a herb called papalo. I had never tasted anything like it before. Its citrus peel aroma and cilantro-like freshness blew me away. Wow. But a week later, the weather had changed, and papalo wasn't on sale.

I asked myself - why is the best produce hidden from foodies and chefs? Why are we all stuck with the same boring herbs?

Why do chefs have to use produce grown thousands of miles away?
