Hiya! I’m Dora! I’m a 4-year-old female husky. I’m a sweet, playful girl who loves going on walks, getting pets and cuddles, and looking out the window. I love doing things my own way, and it usually makes my friends here at HSCI laugh because I can be pretty silly. My adoption fee is $350.

A word from our Executive Director about the exciting news from McLean County Animal Control : "Everyone at HSCI is so excited for the groundbreaking of McLean County Animal Control's new facility. We have a great relationship with MCAC and look forward to continued collaboration with their organization to save the lives of more and more animals."

McLean County Animal Control has officially broken ground on a new facility after 31 years in its current building.

We took delivery last week of our new memorial bench commissioned by board member Eric Hoss and his wife, Terri, in memory of their beloved dog, Holly. Holly crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year.

The Central Illinois Woodworking Club built the beautiful solid oak bench as a community service project for HSCI.

The bench will be the feature of a memorial garden currently under construction at the shelter. Stay tuned to see how our garden develops!

We are getting so stoked for this event! Come out and support HSCI and Illinois Tattoo Co., and our friends at A to Z Catering!

We will have sweet new T-shirts available for purchase as well!

Hey guys! We have some updates regarding our flash event for next Saturday, August 3rd‼️
In case you haven’t seen, A to Z Catering will be at the event with their food truck from noon to 5pm! They have a super great menu ready for all of you, which is posted under the event page! There will also be two different types of dog treats for $3 each! All dog treat sales will be donated to HSCI, so make sure to grab some for your pups! 🦴
You must be 18+ for this event, this includes piercing! Make sure to bring your i.d. and be prepared to stand in line! We will get in as many people as we can! This will be a cash only event as well! We do have an ATM here at the studio if need be!
We are super stoked to see you all next Saturday! Come get some rad tattoos/piercings and raise some money for HSCI! 🐾

Here is a list of things we CAN ACCEPT (if you bring your goodies in a box, it would help if we can close it with a lid--helps us stack them to take in MORE STUFF!)
