Meet our crew and our current rescues.
Braxton, Casie, and Chloe run the day to day operations as well as teach all of the lesson kids weekly.

Braxton is the director of operations as well as the visionary behind the idea of Butterfly ranch. She grew up with the idea of someday starting a rescue and this year it finally happened.

Casie has been working full time since May of 2023 but she worked on and off in previous years. She brings the order and organization to our group.

Chloe has been with Butterfly Ranch since august 2022, before Butterfly ranch was even official. She’s our fun teacher and uses the softest approach with the kids.

The current rescue horses in the program are pictured from left to right Starlight, Watson, Whiskey, Hot Sauce and Cotton

I try really hard to spend time with the new horses and gain some trust, usually hand feedings and talking to them does the trick. Cotton is more on the nervous side so I’ve taken my time with her every day and it’s paying off already 💖

I’m a little behind on posting but our rescue horse project ended 2 weeks ago and these 3 lucky horses got new owners. June and Hayden, Noah and Kylie, Caramel and Ivory 🐴 these girls showed they had what it took to be horse owners, they worked hard morning and evening taking care of the horses day in and day out 💖

We are so thankful for good friends that allow us this space for the horses to rest on. Literally less than 2 miles from my barn and the babies couldn’t be happier💖

This summer we are doing a rescue horse makeover project, I have 6 kids that will be selected to work with 2 rescue horses that we currently have. One lucky kid will win one of the rescues at the end of the summer. Our goal is to teach responsibility while also rehabilitating the horses. Stay tuned for updates.
Here is Noah, one of the rescues we will use for the project. He needs some major TLC but he is soooo sweet!

Sherlock had a visit from the dentist, she said his teeth had his jaw locked into place where he couldn’t even chew his food. He also had a fractured tooth that she pulled. She said he’s only 10-12 years old based on his teeth. The sweet boy went and ate a big portion as soon as he was done.

Update on Watson, who was rescued a little over a month ago! He came with a very hurt front leg, he’s been on amazing supplements and feed and it’s starting to show.
We are so happy his leg is healing and that he is gaining weight. If you would like to sponsor a rescue horse please send me a message 💖 first picture is the day after we got him, second pic is today!

Hey everyone, meet our newest rescue. I am supposed to pick him up tomorrow or Sunday. He currently doesn’t have a name so we are wanting suggestions. Drop a name in the comments and we will pick the winner by Sunday afternoon. I know absolutely nothing about him other than he needs some TLC. He was headed for slaughter today and I couldn’t let that happen. I am so beyond thankful we are getting to save another life and that he will be rehabilitated and will hopefully help a child in need someday 💖

Sherlock has won my heart. He is the sweetest guy. Please pray for him, he needs a bigger appetite, so far he will only eat about a half a scoop of grain at a time. He does seem to enjoy alfalfa so keeping him stocked on that 🍀🍀🙏🏼🙏🏼
