It is with a heavy heart that I just found out Ro passed away this morning. My mom and Pam met Ro well over 30 years ago when Dr Frank was in Aiken. I’ve know her since I was probably in middle school. Ro was one of the good ones. She was the sweetest person with a big personality and a contagious smile. She loved animals and was amazing at her job. She will be missed dearly. I know she has already passed rainbow bridge and loved every missed pet there and gathered hers up. Until we meet again…. 🥺

This is Sunny! 💜 today was her first haircut. She was the sweetest girl and so well behaved. She’s around 7 months and thankfully grooming didn’t overwhelm her because she had matting that needed to come off. She was not matted all over just some matts here and there. I would like to take the time to educate people for when they get a puppy. First of all not matter what kind of dog u are getting call around and find out how much grooming will cost. Even if it’s a lab. There will be a point where u don’t want to have to wash your dog or do it’s nails. Little Sunny here is a doodle and will cost anywhere from $75 and up every 6-8 weeks to maintain this dog. Make sure u are prepared to brush your dog daily. Low shedded dogs like Sunny here need to be brushed every day in order to get the dead coat out. When u don’t do that it results in matting that has to be shaved out. There are groomers out there that will dematt a dog but I’m not one of them. It is extremely painful to brush these matts out and can take hours to do so. Also crate train your puppy. When it comes to the groomers more than likely it’s going in a crate. Please don’t wait till your puppy is a year old and take it to get groomed. Especially a large dog. It is very difficult to handle a scared 75 # dog. Breeds that require grooming every 6-8 weeks need to start going to the groomers as early as possible. Once they are 8 weeks old and up to date on their shots they need to start going. U want grooming to be a comfortable experience for your dog because they have a very long life of going to have it done. I love my job and have over 20years of experience I will always do what’s best for your dog. I know sometimes u might not get the haircut u want but with making regular appointments and keeping up with the grooming we will definitely get there. .
