Yesterday was a rough day for us. The green male was acting a little funny the evening before so we were keeping an eye on him. Yesterday morning he still was acting funny so my husband took him into the vet. The vet did blood work and X rays and discovered that his scull wasn't fully formed, was pushing on his brain and causing him a lot of pain. The only humane thing to do was put him down. We made sure to confirm with the vet that it was not a genetic thing and the vet said she had never seen this in a chesapeak or lab. It's a birth defect. The green male was sweet, friendly and so beautiful. We are heart broken but know that it was the best decision for this poor little guy. 😭😭😢
