In anticipation of the upcoming holiday: just a friendly reminder that our hospital will be closed on Thursday July 4th AND Friday July 5th. If your pet is affected by fireworks or thunderstorms and needs sedatives, please let our office know this week or next and we can get those ready for you. We had the opportunity last week to help some critters from the S**o River Wildlife Center that needed radiographs, and of course we jumped at the chance! 🦫 🦊 Who else is impressed by the size of the incisors on the beaver’s skull?! 😱

We saved the best for last 💜 Our foster kittens found homes almost immediately after we posted them. But let’s not forget the one who gets all the credit for the beautiful babies, mama cat. Aurora is super sweet, loves to cuddle, and we estimate her to be a young adult (maybe even under a year of age). She is quite playful and almost never stops purring. She would love a forever home to call her own, and will be spayed and available for adoption at the end of this week. Please reach out to us or Kennebec Valley Humane Society if you’re interested in this delightful gal 😻

Rocket is a pup very special to us here at NYVH! 🥰 He was born with a liver shunt, and has already been through a whirlwind of diagnostics and treatments at a young age.
