🌱SEED EXCHANGE🌱 The seed exchange is loaded up right now because Jeff brought over a bunch of seeds from his stash! They’re older seeds but if you’ve saved seeds you know that the older ones are still likely to have a pretty good germination rate! These are free. You can take seeds or leave seeds at the seed exchange. 🌱🌱

We have a family member who participated in NYF from flag on up through playing as a HS senior last season for Norton and going further to play at Washington & Jefferson College. NYF is a program close to our hearts. Please consider donating!

Our Norton High School Football Team is currently running a fundraiser to help raise money to ensure that we have a successful season. ✊ 🪵 ✊ 🪵 We farmers are very superstitious but safe to say we put all these delicious green marshmallows put up in the barn. The field got a terrific drink from Mother Natureyesterday and off to the races again we go. Grow, baby, grow. 💚

Marking down May 18th 2024 as the first day of hay season for this year. It’s been a great early spring growing season and with the right soil testing and fertilizer we output some of the finest hay around.

There is nothing that smells finer! Two days to dry and cure, a day to bale and it’ll be ready to put up.

H&H Farm will have fresh frozen locally-raised ground beef available for purchase. Vacuum sealed and processed by 3D Meats in Dalton, individual 1 lb packets. $3.50/lb for under 20 pounds or $3/lb for over 20 pounds. Will be available mid-January for pick-up. Contact us with questions!

** SPOKEN FOR THANK YOU ** LAST MINUTE OPPORTUNITY — 1/4 side of beef remaining — headed to our butcher this week. Message the page with questions or call (330) 334-1325 to reserve.

Your cost is $3/lb hanging weight to us, plus cost of processing to 3D Meats in Dalton. They will custom process to your specs and your meat will typically be ready in a few weeks.

On the average, a 1/4 cow is 135-150 lbs hanging weight. You will come home with roughly 100 lbs for a quarter. THIS IS PURELY AN ESTIMATE. This is very lean meat so if you love your meat heavily marbled, this is not for you. We also recommend you have your steaks cut at least 1-1/2 ” thick.

This is a 2007 photo, but Belgian horses have been and continue to be part of our farm since Bob Bedell brought them here. Do you remember driving by Bedell’s Belgians in Norton in the late 70s through 90s?

Stay warm out there folks. 🥶 ❄️ When it gets like this, we farmers worry about frozen pipes and waterers constantly. Estimate about 5+ gallons of water per day per cow. We have 24. 125 gallons per day plus or minus we need to ensure keeps flowing.
