Edited to say: I think we have found the right place for Beau. Thanks to all who expressed interest.

Beau is a registered Old English Sheepdog, just turned 5 yrs old, neutered, trained to underground fence (respects his boundaries and never crowds them). He's a happy guy, loves people and just wants affection, doesn't have accidents in the house or chew on anything he shouldn't. Seen here in summer haircut. Located in Ohio. $500

Edit: Rey has been rehomed. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest.

She is from Tara x Ryder, born 7/21/21, so almost 2yrs and has been spayed. She's a sweet girl with no bad habits. Her family is a bit overwhelmed being parents currently and would like her to be placed with someone who has more time for her. Re-home fee is $500.

Beau is a 4 yr old OES male with perfect DNA and hips rated Good by the OFA. He's had obedience training, walks great on a leash, is trained to underground fence, loves people, is enthusiastic about life, AKC registered, and is a proven stud. He can come with or without the "tools of his trade." He would love to add to your program--or just be your pet.

Lulu Blu is an AKC registered 4-year-old Old English Sheepdog, 70 lbs, with one blue eye. She isn't acquainted with any cats but gets along well with other dogs and with children. She's trained to an underground fence and would be happy as an "only" dog getting all the love or as a new friend to your dog.

I think Ivy is going to live with one of our owners and have another Sweet Sheep to play with. Thanks to all who expressed interest.

Wondering who I know that wishes they had a Sweet Sheep but not up for raising a puppy. Two-year-old Sweet Ivy Blue is an F1 blue merle with one blue eye and will be looking for just the right place soon.

The formula for bladder capacity is 1 hour for each month of age plus 1 hour. So when taking home your 8 week old pup that means 2+1=3 hours of bladder capacity. Now that's an average. The largest pup in the litter may sleep all night while the smallest has to go outside twice during the night. But not to worry; pups and their bladders grow fast! Just make sure your expectations are realistic, not beyond the physical limits of the puppy.

I never have a problem crate training. You shouldn't either. Just put a small portable crate beside your bed. When you go to bed, tuck pup into it (after having gone potty outside and been praised like crazy). If pup whines a bit, hang your hand over so he can smell it. Pup will settle in. If you hear him in the wee hours stirring around, he may have to ti**le. Take him in your arms directly from the crate (without letting him step out and squat) and proceed outdoors where you know he will p*e, just as they always do upon waking from a nap. Praise quietly. (You can skip the clapping this time.) Without turning on any unnecessary lights, return pup back to crate where he will go back to sleep for a few more hours.

If you put crate pad or blanket in the crate, you aren't doing anyone any favors. That will encourage pup to p*e in crate.

If pup cries at bedtime when you put him in crate, do not remove or you guarantee it will be worse the next time. Lie down yourself and when you dangle your hand, stick your fingers thru the mesh of the door for pup to lick. Now give him the courtesy of some time to adjust and settle himself. (In case it's you who is having trouble with the separation.) You know he isn't crying to go out and potty because you took him out right before bed, didn't you? That's why it was an important step. Try to relax. If you have confidence that he's okay, that will help him be okay.

Okay, here's the deal: I know there are several people out there thinking about a puppy, stalking us, trying to decide if the time is right, if this is your litter. So I wanted to share some things with you.

If you were holding off for a summer litter, I expect the next pups will be in the fall. My girls didn't get the memo about spring/summer (I think they are tittering about my ideas of scheduling as we speak).

Also, we will have a couple litters later this year as I mentioned above, and a few litters in 2024, then I'm looking to retire from breeding by the end of 2024.

We've loved doing this so much but always planned to do some traveling in the RV at some point. (One of us is a homebody who gets choked up even thinking about no more puppies or program goals, etc, but the other is a freaking adventurer and so this is going to happen.)

Now don't freak out if you always planned for a (or another) Sweet Sheep. There is still time and will be plenty of opportunity in the next 18 to 24 months, but I thought you should know.

As you are aware, we currently have two gorgeous litters totaling 20 pups. The Wait List on our website is updated and Puppy Choice is scheduled. We have several people choosing next weekend. We also have several spots still available.

So if you were on the fence and this info knocks you off, pick yourself up and get a hold of me. We can schedule your visit (or video chat) for Sunday, January 22. Very long post, but if you are one of my people, you already know I'm an over-explainer. (And you will always be my people.
