My name is Nina and I file dogs nails for a fraction of the price when you take your fido into a pet store or a vet for just for a nail clipping. I file the nails on fido so that there is a clean trim not a cut. Cutting the nail is taking chances in making the nail bleed....im sorry I would feel really bad doing that to my dog let alone your fur child. The ONLY time I will clip the nail is if I ca

nt get to the nail because its already curled so much(primarily the du claw). Then I will file the nail down so that its smooth. No, I had a vet tech teach me (who is a looooong time friend) and she’s watched me while I practiced on my fur babies. This was 20+ years ago and I have continued to do my own dog's nails since then. Being on island things tend to be a little higher then the mainland so I am offering to come to you to trim your fido's nails. So all I ask of you is allow me to come to your home to trim your fido's nails, you hold fido just for the reason that fido is safe in their owners arms. Less stress for fido is my goal. The noise and feeling will already have fido on alert so my goal is to get in trim and get out. Normally it takes me about 15-30 mins (depending on size). There has been cases that I have needed extra time. I am very patient when it comes to trimming fido's nails, especially if they have never had this done before. I just ask that if you happen to be next in line for a trimming and its taking a little longer this is why. So I could be earlier then the time I have given you or later. Please be understanding. I will do by appointments only. I went to school to be a veterinarian technician at Platt College in Alhambra, California. Due to my husband being active duty. When it’s time to move we do what we can with the time we have. I wasn’t able to take my board exams due to moving. Questions: Please if you have any questions please feel free to pm me, email me ([email protected]), or call/text me 949-212-6282. Thank you for the opportunity. That's all I can ask for. Thanks again.

****If you could PLEASE leave a review on the review tab on my page for feed back. I will take bad and good. If bad, please state why so that I may correct what I did wrong. No hard feelings. Just want to make sure yourself and your fur baby are cared for the right way. CANCELATION: I require a 24 hour notice. Respectably. After second no call, all future appointments will need to have a 50% deposit in order to keep appointment. I am understanding and get that things come up. All I ask is transparency and communication. Please if you have any questions about this, please ask.

With the new booking system please 🙏🏽 make sure you are confirming the appointment. This will allow me to know you remember and you are still good with the date and time.

I do understand things come up but keep in mind, pending where you live, to drive the distance and find out you’re not there, tends to be a hard drive back.

Thank you for working with me through these positive changes. Looking forward to meeting new families and seeing returning families.

Here’s food for thought. I’m an advocate for service dogs and to their humans who need them.

There are so many people now who abuse this. This is NOT ok.

I see SO MANY “service dogs” that are untrained, disruptive pets in a vest, simply because the owner does not want to leave the dog at home.

Not only are those owners being unethical and dishonest, they could potentially disrupt the work of an actual task-trained service dog, or even cause that dog to lose thousands of dollars and months or years or training with a bad interaction.

***************

Service Dogs are more than just any dog wearing a vest purchased online.

If your dog has not been specifically obedience and task trained and you do not have an ADA qualifying disability, then your dog does NOT fall under the protection of ADA law.

ESA (Emotional Support Animals) are NOT Service Dogs and fall under the guidance of the Fair Housing and Air Carrier acts and are welcome in your home with proper documentation and authorization.

Pets are NOT Service Dogs.

Puppies are NOT Service Dogs.

Dogs riding in grocery carts are NOT Service Dogs.

Buying an online "certificate" that your dog is a Service Dog, does NOT make it a Service Dog.

Dogs off leash and out of the control of their owner, are NOT Service Dogs.

Dogs trained for protection are NOT Service Dogs

Representing your dog to a business as a Service Dog and LYING, is FRAUD.

Educate yourself, do it well and do it right if you need a legitimate Service Dog!

Responsible breeding helps preserve a breed. Helps keeping the breed from going extinct. Helps the breed by keeping the genetic health in control.

Puppy mills and backyard breeds are NOT responsible breeders. They are not trying to preserve the breed. They are not trying to keep the breed from any further genetic health issues.

Knowing the difference is important and knowing that what the RESPONSIBLE breeders are doing is actually something that needs to be looked at in a positive way. They do NOT make boat loads of money. The amount of cost that goes into finding the right dog to breed with. Vet visits. Then if there is a c-section that needs to happen. The cost of vet services out weighs the cost of making any income from it.

So before judging, really think what a backyard breeder is making verse a responsible breeder is making.

Thank you responsible breeders.

There sadly isn't much of a voice for responsible breeders. They often get grouped into the category of backyard breeders or puppy mills, but they are so much more than that. Thank you responsible breeders. Thank you for not being part of the problem, but actually being part of the solution. I can guarantee you that if every breeder followed the guidelines of responsible breeders, "overpopulation" would not be a concern.

It pains me to have clients who come in and are so stressed and concerned about their dogs having one hair out of place. They worry we will judge them because they show and breed dogs and in the past they have been harrassed by the public. I usually just laugh and ensure them that a little dirt means they are loved and having a good time outside. Trust me, I have an English Setter and keeping him show quality groomed everyday would be torture to me and him. They are expected to always be perfect in the eye of the public, because if not a snood comment is likely to be made about their purebred dog. I, and even the clinic I work at, have been harrassed twice this week for supporting responsible breeders. I can't imagine the harrassment some breeders face, I know a few that try to keep the fact that they breed hidden from the public because they are scared of what the public will think.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good mixed breed dog. I work with tons of them everyday and care for each and every one of them the same. Each day I come home and worry about every mixed breed dog I treated that day the same as every purebred dog. I support shelters everyday at work and there are many situations where a rescue dog may be the best fit for you family.

However, there is nothing quite like a dog from a responsible breeder. That dog comes to you from a loving breeder who invested so much time, emotion, funds and research into each puppy that it would shock you. They spend their lives conserving a breed and making it better. That breeder can tell you everything about their personalities, what their traits and quirks will be, and what they were purposefully bred to do. They care about the placement of each puppy, often placing them into the homes themselves based on purpose and personality of each puppy, rather than letting the new owners pick out which one looked cutest online. These puppies go into homes fully vaccinated, with all required health clearances needed. They go into homes already house trained and crate trained to ensure easy transition for the new homes. These responsible breeders keep track of the puppies until they grow old and pass. They want to know about each and every health concern that they have throughout life so that they may alter their breeding program to avoid health concerns in the future. These breeders even make you sign a contract saying that if you can't keep the dog, no matter the age, you will return it to them so that the dog does not end up in a shelter. The list goes on and on.

The next time you meet a RESPONSIBLE breeder, thank them, ask them about their breed, and buy them a drink (trust me they need it 😉).

This is food related.

Xylitol is poisonous to dogs. It is now being marketed as birch sugar. Please read your ingredients lists. We found it as an ingredient in peanut butter. Unsure if it’s all peanut butter or if it’s sugar free pb.

This ingredient is also in gum. I believe sugar-free gum.

Have a safe and happy thanksgiving. From my family to yours. Be safe. Enjoy the day.

I’m thankful for each and every one of you. From my first dog (golden retriever) to my current and future pets. Without any of you, I wouldn’t have been able to be where I am at now. So thank you 🙏🏽.

For your furry pets. Please be cautious of the day and the event of the day. There will be a lot going on and I’m sure your furry 4-legged family member will try to grab a snap or 5, lol.

Our Story

My name is Nina and I file dogs nails for a fraction of the price when you take your fido into a pet store or a vet for just for a nail clipping. What I do is I take a devise like going to the nail salon(drummel). I file the nails on fido so that there is a clean trim not a cut. Cutting the nail is taking chances in making the nail bleed....im sorry I would feel really bad doing that to my dog let alone your fur child. The ONLY time I will clip the nail is if I cant get to the nail because its already curled so much(primarily the du claw). Then I will file the nail down so that its smooth. Am I licensed? No, I had a vet tech teach me (who is a looooong time friend) and she’s watched me while I practiced on my fur babies. This was 7+ years ago and I have continued to do my own dog's nails since then. Being on island things tend to be a little higher then the mainland so I am offering to come to you to trim your fido's nails.

I am currently in school at Platt College working on my RVT license. I’ve been in school since October 9, 2017 and I have 4000 hours to complete before taking my board exams. Yes I currently work at a veterinarian clinic. I an NOT a veterinarian. I will ONLY give you advise as if your pet is my pet. You being the owner know your pet best. I will do my best to help you save money from visiting the vet. Ultimately you will make the choice. I just ask that if you happen to be next in line for a trimming and its taking a little longer this is why. So I could be earlier then the time I have given you or later. Please be understanding. I will do by appointments only. Cost: 1 Fido $15* 2 Fidos $25* 3 or more please ask

*prices are subject to change at anytime without notice. Questions: Please if you have any questions please feel free to pm me, email me ([email protected]), or call/text me 949-212-6282. Thank you for the opportunity. That's all I can ask for. Thanks again. PLEASE make NOTE: This is my passion. This is my life. This is income coming in. I will do my best to work with you as best as I can. Please understand that I have a full-time job, part-time job (Fido’s Nails), school (lab hours), AND a family. It may take a couple weeks before you may get in.....I will work during my lunch hour and after work to help accommodate your schedule and my busy schedule. CANCELATION POLICY: I require a 24 hour notice. If no notice is given, a $25 fee will be added to your next visit. If you cancel the day of, expect a cancelation fee. If you have any questions about this, please ask.
