Granite Mountain German Shepherds is located in the Okanogan highlands on highway 20 near Louploup Pass in North Central Washington. Due to our rural location, we provide free delivery of your chosen pup to Seattle or Spokane/Coeur d'Alene when the pup is 8 weeks old. We fell in love with German Shepherds in 2013. Since then we have adopted compatible breeding pairs of working line German Shepherd

s. Our dogs are part of our family and they live their lives as such. They are well adjusted in a variety of situations, such as; visitors, dog parks, farm animals, wildlife, children, cats, chickens, vehicles, on-leash, off-leash, road trips, backcountry hiking, skiing, hunting, etc. They have free run of our 20 acre farm and go on weekly adventures with us. The pups are raised around children, cats, indoor and outdoor play, farm animals, wildlife, and visitors. We believe this early introduction to an array of stimuli leads to well-rounded temperaments in our pups. Granite Mountain German Shepherds began breeding because we believe that proper breeding with desirable genes in a healthy, well-rounded environment creates superior working dogs and family companions. Our dogs are tested for hip and elbow health, DM and receive working titles. We breed “do anything shepherds” with the drive, loyalty and obedience to work as SAR, narcotics, explosives detection or Schutzhund dogs and the level head and gentle demeanor to snuggle the kids at the end of the day. We love our dogs!

Happy 6 week birthday to S Litter! The pups have been having so much fun playing with the big dogs this week! They went on field trip to a preschool, got introduced to the lawnmower, and have been having a blast exploring the big yard with their older relatives. They are full of play and mischief at this age and oh so much fun!

Happy 5 week birthday to S Litter! This week the pups learned about riding in cars, mastered their ramp to go in and out as they please, watched their first movie (the dinosaur sounds on Jurassic World had them very interested!), had their first raw feeding (liver is delicious!), and took a field trip to meet the horses and chickens. These little ones are so snuggly and playful at this age!

Happy 1 month birthday to S Litter! 🎂 🥳 🎉 These little ones have been mastering the walk, enjoying more outside play and are really starting to get playful this week. They’ve moved out of the dining room and into their larger puppy room with access to their play yard. Nothing can stop them now!

What a fun 3rd week with S Litter! The pups got to take their first field trip outside, had lots of play dates with kiddos and kitties, and they’re starting to play with on another and some toys. Such an adorable time in their development. And a very happy Mother’s Day to sweet mama Osa who is by their side nearly 24/7. We sure love these fur babies!

Exactly one week ago, Osa went into labor. She labored all night like a champ and brought her first pup into the world at 1:01 am and her final pup at 9:40 am. We are so grateful for our girls who raise up these beautiful babies, for our boys who help socialize and guide them on their way, and even to our strange cats who go above and beyond in socializing them by crawling into their bed when mama is away. Our whole fur family is just plain amazing ❤️ 🏠 🐾 And “S” Litter is really stinkin’ adorable!

Sisters Osa and Sasha got out to stretch their legs today. Osa is due in 2 1/2 weeks but that did not stop her from romping in the wildflowers and “snorkeling” in the Spokane River. Sasha will be having her next litter this summer. I sure love adventuring with these two 💜

Raya is such a smart and social girl who loves to please her people, cuddle, and play. She’s great with other dogs, kids and strangers. Raya is fully vaccinated with her puppy series and her rabies shot. She is crate trained, used to riding in cars, knows her basic commands and is leash trained. This precious girl is looking for her forever home. Zoja is officially retired and Raya is her last available puppy. She is crate trained, house broken, leash trained, used to the car, and knows her basic commands. She has been socialized with people, dogs and cats. Raya has her first 3 rounds of vaccines, all her dewormings, is chipped and comes with AKC registration. She is an absolute sweetheart and she’s pretty sure she should be a lap dog 💜

Pretty proud of this boy! 10 months old and already joining the police force. Way to go Nemex and trainer Karin Wagemann at Nine Realms Canine Training! Nemex is out of Zoja and Kovac’s February 2023 “O” litter.

Nemex and his new handler Sgt. Carter passed their ASCTI tracking certification today. Both dog and handler have been sharp with their work and I am happy to see Nemex paired with such a good handler. The pair are doing excellent and will finish up their handler school with ASCTI President Chris Ayock the next two weeks.

Nemex is a Dual Purpose Patrol, Tracking, and Narcotics Detection K9 for Beaufort County South Carolina. The same department that has Pridwen. Nemex comes from Nine Realms Working Line German Shepherds Kovacs and Granite Mountain German Shepherds Zoja. Here is to many years of success Nemex and Sgt. Carter.

Edit: forgot to mention Nemex is only 10months old! While he is on point for work he reminds us he’s a puppy still by eating his water bowl and kennel mat in his new car. 😅

As soon as I bring the hose out for bath time, my majestic pack of German Shepherds become a goofy pack of swamp rats 💦 🐾 🐶 “Queeny” is still looking for her forever home. She is one awesome little pup and is loving being part of the pack these days.

This may be my favorite age for the cuteness factor. At 2 weeks, “N” Litter is starting to open their eyes. Dreaming is full of little growls, barks and running legs. Granite Mountain German Shepherds is located in the Okanogan highlands on highway 20 near Louploup Pass in North Central Washington. Due to our rural location, we provide delivery of your chosen pup to Seattle, Spokane, Yakima, or Wenatchee when the pup is 8 weeks old. We fell in love with German Shepherds in 2013. Since then we have adopted compatible breeding pairs of working line German Shepherds. Our male, Koda, is 85 pounds of love, balanced drives, and obedience. Our female, Nalla, is 65 pounds of affection, obedience and protection. Our other female, Zoja is 70 pounds of affection, level disposition and love of all creatures. Our dogs are part of our family. They are well adjusted in a variety of situations, such as; visitors, dog parks, farm animals, wildlife, children, cats, chickens, vehicles, on-leash, off-leash, road trips, backcountry hiking, skiing, hunting, etc. They have free run of our 20 acre farm and go on weekly adventures with us. The pups are raised around children, cats, indoor and outdoor play, farm animals, wildlife, and visitors. We take them on trips to town starting at about 6 weeks to introduce them to new smells, sounds, and people. Pups are introduced to different floor surfaces, indoor sounds, outdoor sounds, and car rides. We believe this early introduction to an array of stimuli leads to well-rounded temperaments in our pups. Granite Mountain German Shepherds began breeding because we believe that proper breeding with desirable genes in a healthy, well-rounded environment creates superior working dogs and working pets. We put a huge emphasis on early and extensive socialization, proper hygiene, and lots of love and human interactions. As a result, our pups are well-rounded, healthy, confident, easy to potty train, and affectionate. Our dogs are OFA certified for hips and elbows with multiple schutzhund certifications on their pedigrees both maternally and paternally. Please inquire for further information on pedigree.
