Opossum can withstand up to 80 Rattlesnake or Coral bites and will eat ticks as if they were French fries. Thanks to them, there is an antidote for poisonous snake bites.
Please don't kill them!

We are in a heat advisory. Please keep your pets safe and review the following tips:
* Pets can dehydrate quickly, so keep plenty of fresh, clean water available.
* Make sure outside animals have access to shade and do not over exercise them.
*Know the symptoms of overheating in pets: excessive panting, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, drooling, mild weakness, stupor or even collapse.
*Animal with flat faces such as Pugs, French Bulldogs and Persian cats are more susceptible to heat stroke.
*Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle unattended, the temperature can become deadly within minutes.
*Do not leave your pet unattended around a pool.
*Dogs with shaved coats need to be protected from sunburn.
*Do not let your dog linger on hot asphalt. Their bodies can heat up quickly absorbing heat from the road and their paw pads can burn.

Please do not hurt me or my mom. ♥️🦊♥️
We just temporarily moved to the neighborhood so we could be “safe.”
If you have suddenly seen a fox in the yard near your home, there is a good reason for this.
It is denning season. Between the end of March and early April, a mother fox will give birth to between 4 and 5 kits (a baby fox is called a kit).
A coyote will often find a fox den, dig out the babies, and kill them.
A mother fox knows this and will frequently choose a den site close to people, away from where coyotes generally go.
A fox will often den under a porch, shed, garage, barn, or side of a hill, trying to keep her little family safe.
Please offer them a short-term rental because this is not a permanent situation.
If you are lucky enough to see how beautiful an adult fox is, or witness the kits playing (at a distance of course), you will be glad you did!
It is not uncommon for Red Foxes to change dens several times during the season, so you may not see them for long.
Kits are slow to develop and will not leave the den until they are about a month old. Foxes do not live in a den year-round, only when a mother has babies.
During the summer as the kits grow older, you will see less and less of them, and by September everyone will have packed up and moved on. Please do not call a service to “relocate them”, they will often be killed.
If you see a fox during the day, it does not mean she is rabid. A mother fox works tirelessly to feed her kits and will often be out during daylight hours foraging for food.
Foxes are omnivores, generally feeding on berries, grasses, and small rodents. They are solitary and prefer to be left alone.
They do not want to hunt and eat your children, mate with your dog, or kill your cat.
A fox just wants a place to raise her family safely, please allow her to do that.

Margaret is a 4.5 year old, calico beauty.
She was also born without eyes.

But do you know what we see when we look at her?

We see a playful cat who adores batting around her toys.

We see a loving companion who loves curling up on your lap for a nap. or under the covers when it's time for bed.

We see a curious kitty who enjoys exploring and camping out in boxes, cat towers, and cat trees.

We see a clever girl who is able to map out her home environment and expertly navigate herself (and, to find you when she's ready for a pet!).

We see a happy cat who loves listening to the outside world, taking in smells through an open window.

We see a cat who deserves to be doted on and loved just like any other cat.

Margaret will need an adopter ready to give her time to acclimate and introduce her to new rooms slowly. She would do best in a home with either no cats, or a submissive and quiet cat; she currently co-exists with a respectful dog. A quiet, consistent household with no young children will be a best to help her feel comfortable.

If you see what we see in Margaret, fill out an application today!
