Massage reduces pain, increases circulation, increases flexibility, reduces inflammation, reduces the risk of injury, encourages healthy growth in young animals and encourages the bond that you already share or helps with a new rescue. The most important advantage that learning massage has to offer is that of a diagnostician to your best friend. Massage encourages you to be in tune with your fur baby. Regular massage allows you to become familiar with your pet's body so at the first sign of change, you will know and be able to relay this (possibly life saving information) to your veterinarian. Wendy Music has almost 20 years experience in human massage therapy and 10 years in animal massage therapy. She has spent a lifetime raising, rescuing and rehabilitating all kinds of animals from dogs and cats to horses to alligators to panthers. You and your pet have the opportunity to benefit from her years of knowledge and experience in both the art of massage and animal care. She is a member of AMTA, NCBTMB and licensed in the state of Washington. This 3 hours, hands on class is both fun and informative. You will learn calming techniques, how to relieve pain, how to reduce stress, how to prevent injuries, how to help your pet grow healthy and strong, safe stretching techniques, aromatherapy and how to form a bond that leads to an intuitive sense of love and healing that lasts a lifetime. Classes are limited to 8 dogs and are held in both Puyallup and Olympia. If you have a cat, an aggressive dog or would just like a one on one approach, private classes are also available (additional fees may apply). Your pet rubs you, isn't it time you rubbed them back?
