GLUTATHIONE SUPPORT
Glutathione levels in the liver are responsible for about 60% of liver detoxification. Hepa Plus is formulated to build and protect glutathione levels in the liver.

Glutathione is a tripeptide consisting of l-cysteine, glycine, and glutamic acid. The body maintains high levels of glutamic acid while the rate limiting amino acid for glutathione production is l-cysteine and to a lesser extent glycine. Taurine, like l-cysteine, is a sulfur containing amino acid and can contribute to glutathione production.

Alpha-Lipoic acid is known to increase glutathione production in the body up to 30%. Alpha lipoic acid is an important nutrient enhancing metabolism, and acting as both a water- and fat-soluble antioxidant.

Silymarin from Milk Thistle extract not only helps prevent depletion of glutathione induced by alcohol and other toxic chemicals, but also increases glutathione levels in the liver up to 35%.

HERBAL SUPPORT – MILK THISTLE EXTRACT AND DANDELION ROOT EXTRACT

MILK THISTLE SEED EXTRACT is an herbal remedy from the plant known as Silybum marianum. The active ingredients are a group of plant compounds known as silymarin. The extract in HEPA PLUS has 80% silymarin. Silymarin has antioxidant, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Extensive research shows silymarin exerts a protective and a restorative effect on the liver, and can stimulate the growth of new liver cells. Silymarin can increase bile flow, which in turn improves absorption of fat soluble nutrients like vitamins A, D, and E.

SELENIUM (trace mineral; non-metal)
Selenium and Molybdenum are essential minerals in the synthesis of enzymes supporting liver detoxification.
A meta-analysis of patients with liver disorders (hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer) showed significantly lower selenium levels than controls. In addition the meta-analysis showed a higher selenium level was significantly associated with a 41% decrease in the incidence of significant advanced chronic liver disorders.

MOLYBDENUM (metal/micronutrient)
Molybdenum can inhibit pulmonary and liver fibrosis. Liver fibrosis is thickening and scarring of tissue.

Molybdenum helps prevent liver damage from acetaminophen and reduces heart damage from doxorubicin, a type of antibiotic.

Molybdenum is a vital part of the process by which the liver breaks down acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde is a neurotoxin produced by alcohol consumption or intestinal fungal overgrowth.

BILBERRY

Marigold lutein contains the same lutein naturally found in spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables. Studies link the important eye-health benefits of this natural antioxidant with reducing the likelihood of age-related macular degeneration and other eye conditions. Lutein’s benefits for eye health are based in part on lutein’s antioxidant properties that provide protective effects against blue light.
Zeaxanthin is a strong antioxidant member of the carotenoid family that may be important for macular and retinal health. Macular pigment, which is primarily composed of lutein and zeaxanthin, protects the retina from damage due to light exposure and oxidative stress. High macular pigment density helps retain visual sensitivity as we age.

Sources of EMF include cell phones, cell phone towers, Wi-Fi routers and and wireless devices, "smart" meters and home devices, solar inverters, newer vehicles, and Bluetooth.

Scientific evidence points to multiple ways EMF produce negative effects, including oxidative effects, changes in blood flow and behavior, interference in calcium channels in cells, weakened immunity, and creating conditions that lead to cardiovascular events and other health issues.

The research explains adverse effects, like memory problems, tinnitus, poor concentration, poor sleep, fatigue, mood effects, and pain. And points to long-term effects of EMF exposure from oxidative damage and inflammation, and higher incidence of certain health issues.

DISTANCE

• Don’t hold cell phone to your head. Instead use speakerphone, ear buds, or hold phone an inch or two from your head

• Don’t sleep with phone under pillow or nearby. Turn off at night, or put in Airplane mode

• Keep router away from where you work, play, or sleep

• Don’t sleep near smart meters, solar inverters, broadband devices (like network extenders), or plug-in transformers (like phone chargers)

• Find nearest cell phone towers to your home (www.antennasearch.com). Towers 0.3 mile or closer are known hazards. Longer distances are better

TIME

• Reduce time on cell phone and wireless devices. Turn off or use Airplane mode when not in use

• Turn off routers at night or disable Wi-Fi. This can be done manually or using a plug-in timer

WIRED CONNECTIONS

• Use wired connections (Ethernet) whenever possible. Use adaptors to connect Ethernet cables to cell phones, tablets, and other devices. Shielded Ethernet cables (Cat 7 or higher) best

• Many routers allow you to turn off Wi-Fi while using a wired connection

Over the years I have developed two very potent vitamin C products. These are PRO-C and Ultimate Protector+. Both contain large amounts of vitamin C, antioxidants, and Nrf2 activators. Our customers get outstanding results when using these products.

Recently I've been studying the emerging research surrounding the ways vitamin C influences stem cells in your body. New research shows vitamin C alleviates the senescence roadblock to cellular reprogramming. Biological aging, also known as senescence, causes gradual deterioration of functional characteristics. In addition, human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) generation is improved by vitamin C. We now have new ways of understanding the reasons PRO-C and Ultimate Protector+ work so effectively to support health.

STEM CELLS AND VITAMIN C

Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find a research paper titled “Vitamin C Enhances the Generation of Mouse and Human Induces Pluripotent Stem Cells.” (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1934590909006249; https://doi.org/10.1016/j.stem.2009.12.001)

Here are some highlights:

► Vitamin C improves the speed and efficiency of mouse iPS generation

► Adding vitamin C converts pre-iPSCs to iPSCs

► Vitamin C alleviates the senescence roadblock to reprogramming

► Human iPSC generation is also improved by vitamin C

Summary: Somatic cells can be reprogrammed into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) by defined factors. However, the low efficiency and slow kinetics of the reprogramming process have hampered progress with this technology. Here we report that a natural compound, vitamin C (Vc), enhances iPSC generation from both mouse and human somatic cells.

Vc acts at least in part by alleviating cell senescence, a recently identified roadblock for reprogramming. In addition, Vc accelerates gene expression changes and promotes the transition of pre-iPSC colonies to a fully reprogrammed state. Our results therefore highlight a straightforward method for improving the speed and efficiency of iPSC generation and provide additional insights into the mechanistic basis of the reprogramming process.
