Town of Orangetown to celebrate the opening of their FIRST Dog Park in Orangetown
The Town of Orangetown will be hosting a grand opening of its first dog park on Friday, November 19, 2021. It is located on the grounds of Veterans Memorial Park, 81 Hunt Road, Orangeburg, NY. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 am.
Town Supervisor Teresa M. Kenny is excited to be closing out her second year in office with this important occasion. Recognizing the hard work of the Orangetown Parks and Recreation Department and members of her staff, she is beyond pleased that this event is finally taking place. Supervisor Kenny also extends a special thanks to the Orangetown PBA for their generous donation and to All County Asphalt for building this amazing park.
This new park will provide our citizens (two legged and four legged) a new place to socialize and to safely exercise. The dog park will be open to the public daily, from sunrise to sunset, and will be available to Orangetown residents only.
All dogs must be licensed and be up to date on the rabies vaccination. No puppies under the age of 6 months are permitted in the park and dog owners are asked to comply with the posted rules and regulations.
