Working Pairs is a Dressage pattern in the arena where two teams of horse and rider perform the pattern together. It’s synchronized riding. We are hosting a Dressage Schooling Show Jan 27. Working Pairs is one of the options. I’ve never done it before. But I am very excited to try it. Save your spot and sign up for the Dressage show.

Tamarind Ranch offers a friendly and supportive environment where it’s ok, NOT to know things and it’s ok, to make mistakes. Whether it’s your first time in the show world or you are a veteran in the show ring this will be a fun and friendly day of riding and learning.
Riders are encouraged to ride more than one test. Costumes are encouraged for working pairs and allowed for other tests. Music should be submitted in advance, send link or information to email [email protected]
Cost is $40 for the first ride and $15 for each additional. Parking is limited so please car pool, bring a friend and participate in multiple tests.
Early Bird Sign up by Jan 15 gets a raffle ticket for the prize drawing. Signups for the show close January 22.

In October I let midnight into the main pasture. It’s a great way to spice things up. lol. Everyone got a good stretch of the legs and a favorite was chosen.
What a great day today with the OET North Valley’s New Years Day Ride.

I grew up with horses in pasture. Didn’t really understand that horses lived in stalls until my Oregon experience. Watching the horses interact with each other. Watching how they behave if they have to get left in the stall for rehab…. I am such a believer that daily group turnout is so healthy for them. Watching them jog out excited to see their friends. Watching them play and nibble at each other. It’s a reminder to me of how important the play/social time is.

Great educational evening with Sarah Orloff, Vivace Equine LLC. We learned about proper bridal fitting, leather options and why it matters as well as met great people. Thank you to those who came to learn with us and thank you Sarah for sharing your knowledge and experience. #tamarindranch #vivaceequine

Whiffleball Game and Potluck was so fun 🤩 Put it on your calendar for next year. Friday after Thanksgiving.
Welcome to Tamarind Ranch. Lena has named her Bun Bun.
Show day in the Tamarind Arena means an extra long day out in the pasture for the non participants. But don’t you worry. They got lots of yummy Teff Hay and hung out with friends. Happy horses 🐴 #tamarindranch
I have used the trails at Milo Mciver State Park for the last two years. Walking dogs with friends, riding horses… Enjoying the trails and the obstacles throughout the park. I had no idea that a small group of volunteers helped create and maintain those obstacles. If you enjoy the park. Please say thank you by becoming a member. Only $35 a year supports this great organization. http://www.oregonequestriantrails.org/membership/registration/
Hackberry (the one on top) used to be a bully and pick on everyone. Well they were all very elusive this summer and have come back a little different. We were not sure what was happening here as Monkey (the talking cat) was typically low man on the totem pole. Well it looks like she has gained confidence. FYI Our dogs and cats are friends and all hang out and play together. Obviously Braxton (the dog) does not like the fighting. Funny. He was in the other room the whole time and didn’t intervene until they were fighting. Love it 😍 #tamarindranch
Happy Birthday Uncle Mike 🥳
Uncle Mike 🎉 From the day I proclaimed Mike to be Uncle Mike he has been a strong, steady and reliable figure in our lives. He has supported Lena and I in horse events, dance shows, red necking and fixing things all over the ranch, arranging my first cattle drive, and supporting all our boarders @tamarindranch.fun The list goes on and on. Mike has been a blessing. I am so very thankful we met. Happy Birthday Uncle Mike 🎉
Braxton is not a ball fetcher. He is a ball player, a dog chaser and he loves keep away. #tamarindranch
Tilden has completed his quarantine and got to go out with the boys today… Everything went smoothly. I have such a good group here I’m so thankful. #tamarindranch
