Since its conception, Ruff House has been a place that welcomes, embraces, and accepts folks from all walks of life, all communities, and all backgrounds. If you love dogs, we love you! (And if you don’t love dogs, we still respect your wrong opinion.)
Each year as June approaches, small businesses like ours face a decision about how we will approach Pride Month.
A Pride-themed Photo Booth has consistently been one of our most-requested themes from both staff and pet parents. At the same time, participating in promotions that capitalize on a community that has been such an important part of our Ruff House family has never felt quite right. Instead, we have always tried to show our support for all communities by maintaining a non-discriminatory workplace and providing top-notch pet care where people are welcome to be themselves express themselves shamelessly.
Ruff House is, and always has been, a place where no one needs to tuck away who they are to belong, and that isn’t changing. The passion and genuine love for dogs is what brings our team members and pet parents together, and THAT is something we take pride in.
This year, we’re responding to the demand for a Pride-themed booth a little differently. Throughout June, we will offer an optional photo booth add-on bursting with color and love, created exclusively by some of our LGBTQ+ team members.
We will also be offering a Father’s Day paw print craft during the same dates, giving pet parents another fun way to celebrate the people they love.
