Congratulations to Phantom! Her photo was selected to be featured on our welcome board for September, a difficult choice given the many great options.

Phantom has been a patient since July 2018 and is a staff favorite due to her sweet, humorous, and lively personality. She visits every two weeks for an injection and always greets us happily. Her name comes from her 'mask'-like markings, reminiscent of the Phantom of the Opera character.

We look forward to taking her picture with the board at her next visit and hope she likes Kristin's portrait!

Cooper loves the vet!

We know it can be hard to believe that dogs like to come to the vet, but Cooper doesn’t want to leave! This went on for quite a bit, before he decided he’d like to go to the beach instead ☀️ We hope you had fun swimming!

Happy first day of summer!!! Nothing says summer like a pool full of puppies! 💦

This was a MAJOR Fear Free win yesterday. Chewie is not a fan of any medical procedures or restraint of any kind. He used to scream when he was touched in any way he thought was suspicious. We’ve tried multiple medications, treats and techniques, and we finally nailed it. All it took was being held like the Superdog he is, belly rubs, bum scratches, calming voices, and lots of bacon treats! We are so proud to have a team who are all on board with these techniques, and who make medical procedures as comfortable as possible for each individual patient’s needs. #fearfreecertifiedprofessional #fearfreevetvisit #fearfreepets

Pete is one of our favorite patients - he’s such a good boy. He is a big fan of our Fear Free handling techniques, which is a good thing since he needs to come in for regular bloodwork to monitor his hyperthyroidism. We love ya Pete! #fearfreevetvisit

Katie brought her dog Lou in for her annual exam and labwork today. Lou historically does not like restraint, and would flail and scream for procedures. Katie has worked incredibly hard with her, and has found the perfect combination of pre-visit anxiolytics, treats and handling. All her hard work has paid off, and it made today’s visit a total success!

Kristin’s cat Flapjack seems to have enjoyed his senior exam, thanks to some PVP’s (pre-visit pharmaceuticals) a catnip toy, and fear-free handling techniques. He has become a little less tolerant as he’s gotten older (he just turned 14!) and all of these things made his exam easier for him. Fortunately he got a clean bill of health, and a lot of extra love! #fearfreevetvisit #fearfreecertifiedprofessional

We had some extra helpers during puppy classes yesterday. Cole and Emma came to help the puppies get used to children. They helped them practice their training, gave out treats (and snuggles!), and provided distractions while their owners got them to focus. Everyone did a great job and worked hard!
