e Sea. I moved back to Cali when she grew up, to be near fam and friends. That's when I had the epiphany that I wanted to work with animals, 2008. So I went online to volunteer at the humane society and after I filled out the form I saw a link to their day care, sent them an email asking if they're hiring, and they were and they did! It was one of the funnest jobs I've ever had! But after 3 months they sold the business and I got laid off, so I went out on my own with a few clients they didn't want or that didn't want to go with them. I moved back to Ormond to be close to my grand kids in 2016.

We have been posting Jamie every single day for 34 straight days now, and she has had basically no interest in her. For some animals, we make a single post and are overwhelmed with applications, but that isn't the case for this sweet girl. People rarely come to play with her, and applications for her are basically non-existent.

We know not every home would be a perfect fit for her since she needs a home with no other animals. But even if you have other pets, you can still help Jamie out by spreading the word about her...talk to your friends and family or even just share her posts. We're not going to give up on her, but we need your help to find her forever home!

Jamie is 2 years old and she needs a home where she is the only animal. She LOVES her people and playing with toys. My Story

My name is Cathy (Catherine) Hart. I had pets growing up and would pet sit for folks back then. I started pet sitting full time in 2008 when an acquaintance asked me to stay at her house in Cardiff, California for a month and take care of her dog, Tchitchou, while she was out of the country. When she came back I applied to volunteer at Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s ‘Day Care For Dogs’ in Encinitas, Ca. Instead of giving me a volunteer spot they gave me a paying job. It was 2009. A few others and I drove a few vans on a route to pick up clients and bring them to the yard to play and give them attention all day. Then take them back home. It was one of the funnest jobs I’ve had, to be with 30-40 dogs at a time! But the business was sold and some clients didn’t want to give their dogs to somebody they didn’t know, so I broke off on my own and some of my closest clients followed. In 2016 my daughter started a family so I had to say goodbye to my pack and move back to Ormond-by-the-Sea to be close to my Grandson. And now a new pack is growing...
