🐾 Meet Darwin, our newest foster! 🐾

Yesterday, Darwin was rescued as part of Coco's Heart Dog Rescue’s annual Out of the Cold rescue effort. Each year, this incredible initiative brings hundreds of animals out of the cold and into loving homes.

Darwin is already settling in, and we’re thrilled to be part of his journey to find his forever home. Welcome to warmth and love, Darwin! 🧡

Worried your dog won’t have any friends to play with on our quieter daycare days? Have no fear, our own dogs are here! 🐕🐕‍🦺🦮

On slower days, we bring in our pups to make sure your dog always has a furry friend to play with. You may not see our dogs right away in the morning, as they don’t always come for a full day - it can be a bit overstimulating for them to come for multiple full days in a row, that’s like running a marathon! Besides, we get plenty of time with them at home… just kidding (maybe)! 🤣

Even if it’s just your pup with us, you can rest assured they’ll get tons of play and mental stimulation so they go home all tuckered out!

The rain didn’t dampen our spirits today! 🌧️🐾 We enjoyed some outdoor time in the morning, and when the rain rolled in, we switched to indoor fun with hide-and-treat games. 🕵️‍♂️🍖

River, Mabel, and Copper had a blast sniffing out treats and playing with toys! 🦴🎉

📣 Did you know it’s best to keep your dog on their regular food while boarding? 📣

At County Line K-9 Resort, we’re all about making your dog feel at home! 🏡❤️ That’s why we encourage pet parents to bring their dog’s usual food from home. When dogs are in a new environment, they can have a reduced appetite, and switching their food can upset their sensitive digestive systems. 🐾

Sudden diet changes, especially in a boarding setting, often leads to upset tummies or digestive issues. We’re often asked if we provide food, but this is why we don’t offer in-house food for dogs staying in our care. We want to make sure your pup feels their absolute best with us! 🐶💛

To make feeding smooth and stress-free, we recommend pre-portioning each meal into individual baggies with clear instructions on how many meals per day. This way, there’s no risk of accidental over or under-feeding! If you portion all servings in one bag or container, it’s easy to miss a scoop or two - but with individual bags, it’s much easier to notice if a meal is missing.

Everyone’s idea of “a scoop and a half” can vary a bit 👩‍🍳, and small differences in measuring can add up to a missing meal. By individually portioning their food, you’re helping us ensure your dog is fed just right!

These simple steps make a big difference in keeping your dog comfortable, happy, and healthy during their stay with us! 💕🐕

Ear-cleaning reminder 🧼✨.

About 3 out of 4 dogs that visit us at County Line K-9 Resort have ear wipes looking this dirty after their Dog Spa service with us. 🐾 Regular ear cleaning at home is essential to prevent infections, remove dirt, and keep your pup feeling their best. Your dog’s ears trap dirt and wax inside, and you might not even realize their ears are this dirty!

Hey there, I’m Oakley, and I’m on the hunt for my forever family! 🐾

I’m a fun-loving, adventure-ready Labrador Retriever mix, born in November 2023.

I’m a social butterfly – I LOVE other dogs, adore kids, and I’m always down for meeting new people. I have a shiny tuxedo coat, complete with four white paws and a little underbite that gives me some extra charm. My foster family says I remind them of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon – how cool is that?!

Now, I do have a little quirk called Megaesophagus (ME), but don’t worry – it’s totally manageable! I just need my kibble pre-softened, fed twice a day, and to eat my meals in an upright position. My foster family trained me to eat with my paws up on a stool like a pro! I never let it slow me down, and I’m still full of energy and love. 💛

Some fun facts about me:

• I’m house-trained and crate-trained! 🏡
• I’m great on a leash – no pulling here, just gentle walks. 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♂️
• I know commands like “sit,” “off,” “go potty,” and “touch” for recall, and I’m learning “shake”🤝
• Car rides are a blast, and I love sniffing around the yard or joining you for lake days, coffee shop outings, and brewery visits. 🍂☕
• I give lots of hugs, kisses, and snuggles, and I even do the cute head-tilt when I’m curious. 🥰

I’ve got everything you could want in a dog: love, energy, and a personality that shines just like my coat. My foster family calls me “Mr. Lover” because I’m so full of affection.

Our foster, Pretzel (aka Callie), is ready for her forever home! 🏡❤️ She’s an absolute sweetheart with tons of energy and is working hard on her manners - she’s such a quick learner! 🐾

Callie would thrive in an active household, especially with another playful dog. She loves playing fetch and having fun with other pups

She’s still working on her basic commands, and needs someone who’s committed to continuing her training. Callie does great in her kennel!
