I have worked a lot in the outdoors in my life from outdoor writing, Regional Director for Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and over thirty years as a Taxidermist. In this time I have met a large number of outdoor celebrities. I wouldn't call this a privilege as the majority of these so called celebrities are egotistical blow hard ass holes that don't really do anything positive for the outdoor industry. I would like to point out three that have thoroughly impressed me as genuinely good guys and good for the industry. These are Jim Shockley, Will Primos and Michael Waddell. Those three have always been upstanding good humble guys that have been very good for the industry. Unfortunately I've met quite a few that simply are not that way.

I posted a question yesterday asking about the best procedure to preserve velvet on a mule deer buck that had started shedding velvet.
Does anyone have any tips they could share to help a fellow taxidermist out? We don't get things like this here in Missouri and I want to do the best job i can. Customer wants this to look as much like the original looked with velvet shedding in places as it was when shot.

This is a short post to inform those that were used to seeing my posts. I was involved in a bad accident on August 6th ive spent seven weeks in hospitals for recovery and therapy. Ihave only been home for the past week. I still have a lot of time before I will be anywhere near fully recovered. I am getting better every day but am going to need people to be patient with me. I will get the taxidermy work I have done it will just take longer than expected but I am dedicated to doing quality work.
For those that have called or written i want to say thank you your kind words and actions have not gone unnoticed. I look forward to getting back to my life but it is going to take some time but God willing I will get there.
Good luck to all of you. I would still appreciate hearing from you just be patient as it may take some time for me to get back to you. Thank you.

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner to all the birthday wishes as Suzy and I was in Costa Mia. I had to rescue Suzy from the crazy locals. Thanks 29 again.
