Whistling Winds Retrievers 469020-DS is located in Mauston WI. We strive to produce healthy, well-bred, structurally balanced working Retrievers. We compete in obedience, NASHDA, UKC and AKC hunt tests, bench/breed etc. Our dogs are carefully chosen from top producing lines with pedigrees that boast some of the top Field Champion and Master Hunter lines. We specifically chose our lines because of their calm demeanor and ease of trainability. Our dogs are not only family pets, but also athletes that excell working whichever avenue we pursue with them (waterfowl, upland, obedience, shed antler hunting, pet therapy, etc).
Puppies are family raised underfoot with kids of all ages. We pride ourselves on our socialization and training program. We start with ENS and begin conditioning for potty training at 3 weeks of age. We introduce our puppies to many scenarios and different environments to ensure well-rounded and balanced personalities. We work on potty training, crate training, manners, basic commands, and introduction to retrieving as well as birds.
Our dogs are DNA tested for common genetic disorders (EIC, CNM, PRA-PRCD, DD, among others), Dilute FREE via parentage and also DNA, OFA certified, and eyes CAER/CERF by a canine ophthalmologist. Puppies come with full AKC registration, dewormed, vaccinated, dew claws removed, microchipped, vet checked and with written health guarantees.
