Every time rescue is asked to take an owner surrender- we have to somehow make room on our little raft for that dog.
When an owner says stuff like “I don’t have time to give them the best life” or “I have to move” or “they have too much anxiety” it really falls flat because that means if we bring them on the raft, another dog out there in the freezing water gets to die.

Every day rescue adjudicate life and death by gate keeping who can get on the boat.

Rescues and shelters are the tiny Rescue Boats.

The Ship is our community at large.

The iceberg is comprised of puppy mills, careless owners, backyard breeders, and those who won’t spay/neuter.

Our breed standard disqualifies "dogs not of an allowed color." The allowed colors are: Red, fawn or Isabella (a dilution of red), black and blue (a dilution of black) with sharply defined rust markings.

🐾 POEM OF A DOG
I'm the one who's always waiting for you.
Your car has a special sound that I have imprinted on my senses, I can recognize it in a thousand.
Your steps have a magic bell.
Your voice is music to my ears.
If I see your joy, it makes me happy!.
Your scent is the best.
Your presence moves my senses.
Your waking up wakes me up
I contemplate you sleeping and for me you are my God, I am happy watching your sleep.
Your look is a ray of light.
Your hands upon me, hold the lightness of peace and the sublime display of infinite love.
When you leave, I feel a huge void in my heart.
I keep waiting for you again and again.

😢This is a bait dog
He is safe now, but Look close, look at the defeat in this baby’s eyes, look at the scars and imagine what this dog went through. Now, realize when a dog is given away FREE and no one checks out the people who pick up a free dog, no one ask for a reference, no one checks the home....that dog can end up just like this!!! Dog fighters are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They appear normal, they send their wife or girlfriend because females seem safer. Be careful when rehoming a dog!!! Take time to check the people out. You can contact a local rescue to help you.

FYI: Don’t ever take a dog to Pet Paradise at World Golf Village in St Augustine FL
The girls that work there will lie to you by saying it’s law that Bordetella & DistemperParvo vaccines must be given by a veterinarian, that it’s illegal to give vaccines a certain way, and it’s illegal to show people how to give vaccines. If you’re ever told that tell them to Prove it, because they can’t. So if you give your own vaccines just create your own vaccine record document. They think they’re smarter than everyone else. Any vet who doesn’t accept clients who do those vaccines themselves only cares about collecting excessive vaccine fees. The only vaccine that requires a veterinarian is rabies!
