Mad Dog Artist Studios is set up and equipped to meet the studio needs of artists who work in most media, including the following: jewelry, non-metal sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, painting and drawing. We welcome artists of all levels and experience. We are currently home to over forty-five artists and makers. Details:

We’re so pleased to have this talented artist - Adolfo Peralta - in our community at Mad Dog Artist Studios. Maybe he’ll share some of his work with the public at our open studios and holiday sale on December 9!

Rhode Island enjoys a vibrant community of artists, but certain individuals stand out. At just twenty-seven years old, local artist Adolfo Peralta is an extremely talented painter with a unique skill for abstracted figuration. With a bright career ahead of him, he is an artist to know.

NEWS FLASH: We have 3 s opening up at Mad Dog Artist Studios in just 2 weeks! One is a regular space - perfect for one person - and two are larger units ideal for 2 studio mates or a single artist with a lot of materials, large canvases, etc. All three have at 2-4 large windows, electricity outlets and full access to the shared spaces and equipment. Get in touch to schedule a tour before these are spoken for! Email us at [email protected] or send a PM here.

We also have open studio memberships available - perfect if you've outgrown your spare bedroom at home but are not quite ready for a private space. All memberships include 24-7 access to the facility and all its equipment. We have full set-ups for jewelry-making (benches, torches, etc), ceramics (kiln, wheels, etc.), and painting/drawing, to name just a few. The large central studio is essentially a giant playground for creative adults to explore their 'chosen media' while experiencing and learning about others at the same time.

It's a great way to have your own private creative sanctuary while being a part of a supportive, like-minded community and having access to a host of workshops, sales, open studios and 'crit night' events. We have loads of F U N and you'll never be bored here!

Next up in our workshop series is ‘Kintsugi: the Art of Golden Repair’ - Wednesday, June 7, 6:00-8:00pm. Cambridge-based kintsugi artist Taco Matthews will lead us in a hands-on exploration of this fascinating method of repairing pottery. Details and registration on our website. Hope to see you there!

Hello, creative friends! We have a lovely private studio available starting June 1: 2 large windows, private bathroom and its own AC unit - super private but with access to all shared amenities including pottery wheels, kiln, slab roller, jewelry benches and more. We’re excited to announce the return of Wednesday night Life Drawing sessions at Mad Dog! Two series of 6 sessions each, beginning 1/11 and 3/8. A moderator will be present for these self-directed opportunities, to explore and expand your drawing skills. Sessions run from 6:00 to 8:30pm.

We are beyond excited to announce the 2.0 version of Mad Dog Mad Dog Artist Studios, now officially ‘Mad Dog Artist Studios & Services’ because we also offer a range of services including marketing, graphic design, event management and more. We’re here to help artists at all levels!

Our membership-based studios, including a large open space with kiln, pottery wheels, jewelry benches, and more, as well as private studios (each featuring a large window) are home to a talented group of artists and makers working a variety of media and at all levels of experience.

Stay tuned as we announce our programming plans, starting with the annual holiday sale, winter workshops and more.

We are honored that such talented, creative individuals have chosen Mad Dog to pursue their creative passions. We’re building a vibrant community and we’re excited about what the future holds. We hope you’ll join us!
