Some groomers might not like a howling dog. Not us! We will join in with them!
We love what we do.
Properly bathing a dog isn’t quick and easy work.
When it’s time for your dog’s bath..
The tub is prepped.
A lead is grabbed and put on your dog.
It’s placed in the tub.
Ears are cleaned thoroughly.
Every dog that walks in our salon is bathed at the minimum twice.
Shampoo is applied and worked in down to the skin.
We let it sit for about a minute.
Rinse thoroughly.
Shampoo is applied again and worked down to the skin.
It sits for a minute.
Rinsed thoroughly.
Some dogs need to be shampooed more than twice.
Dog is conditioned and conditioner is worked down to the skin.
That sits for a minute.
Sometimes some dematting is done in the tub.
Dog is rinsed thoroughly.
Dog is towel dried.
Coat conditioning sprays are applied.
They are worked in down to the skin.
This sits a minute.
Then your dog is completely hand blown dry.
Dog is brushed out thoroughly whether it is long or short coated.
Nails are now clipped and filed smoothly.
Bandana is cut and placed on the dog.
We call/text you.
There are more steps and more time is involved if a dog is a deshed, fluff dry, difficult, matted, etc. When one dog takes a little extra time due to these factors everyone takes longer.
It’s a lengthy process and we try to do the best job we can. 😊
It seems no matter how even I bathe my own dogs at home it never turns out like it does in the grooming salon.
