As I sat outside the in-gate, gravel in my white britches, boots, and probably some I’ll find a little later in the elsewheres, I thought I had no business attempting the Mini Prix today. We had a rough start earlier in the day (clearly) and suddenly the jumps looked intimidating. We watched horses (4 actually) slip and fall down, tricky lines all ridden by talented riders who have had years more saddle time than I, especially since my first show back after 7 years was this spring in the .90m. For some reason I still walked into that ring. While you are tricky and opinionated, you have such heart, stop is not in your vocabulary (but like, maybe it should have been in the schooling ring dude?) Thank you for giving me the confidence Connor, you are the horse I never knew I needed and you will teach me to be better every time I come out. You make me WANT to be better. Thanks little man, you were great today and any mistake made was mine. You’re the best jumbo shrimp, cone head, goldfish, oversized pony dog, and partner. ❤️❤️❤️

So thankful for this guy. Even when I feel at my worst, he’s always got my back. I forget that this sport it about ups and downs and sometimes you have to take the small victories when they come. Thankful for all the people in my life who help me remember that and lift me up when I get frustrated that I’m not where I think I should be. 🥰

7 yr old, 16.2 imported Czech Warmblood by Guidam Sohn out of a Clinton mare. Tons of scope and always gets to the other side! Miles in the 1.30 and continuing higher. Could also thrive in the equitation ring. Middle of the low Six 🥕

16.2 9 yr old dappled grey Dutch Warmblood by Quality Time out of an Ovidious mare. Miles up to 1.30 but is the *Perfect* equitation horse. Would make a great big eq horse for someone who wants to be competitive. Great in the derbys also! Leased out the last 2 years but sadly time to sell. Highest 🖐

Today we had to say good bye to one of the hardest working individuals that we know! We were so insanely lucky to have had such a incredibly special intern for the past 2 years. Hard working, talented, dedicated, caring, diligent, words do not even come close to describing Maggie Ryan. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and wish you the BEST of luck in everything you do! You will be sorely missed but are so excited to see you succeed!

Sadly, this leaves a position (with big shoe to fill) for a new intern. Great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the equine industry from rehabilitation to showing and sales. Opportunities to ride dependent on experience, possibility of board or self care dependent on hours. Hey everyone! To all our boarders, barn friends and service providers, due to the nature of our job we are asking everyone to consider evaluating where they have been, who they have been around, and how they feel before coming to the barn. We love having everyone and we known the weather is warm and you probably have some free time from work but our job of caring for the horses does not , and can not stop. It is imperative that we are able to continue our job to care for your/our horses. If you do come up please make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before you arrive. Know that everyone is in the same boat and even though show season is technically around the corner, the health of our clients and employees is more important than making it to the next series of shows as I’m sure many other barns feel the same way. Help us help your horse by keeping us healthy and allowing us to continue doing our job. If you cannot make it up and need your horse to be ridden or put on the treadmill, we will be happy to help out.

Two years ago Kevin Babington didn’t think twice when I asked him to show our relatively unknown 5-year old at the Devon Fall Classic since Genna was pregnant and 2 days from giving birth. Like the kind and talented man he is, he rode her once at home and then met us at the show to bring home blue ribbons in each class. Today we are back at that same horse show and are proud to wear his belt by Ruespari to support a great man, father, and friend. Wishing him the best in his recovery and strength to him, his family and friends that are there for him every step of the way ❤️
