In a DEEP class of 12.. Mello pulled a 9,8,9 for a 9th place over all. Every horse above her were true halter horses. She stood like a ROCK for over 15 minutes inside the ring. Used her ears for 95% of the class and I only had to reposition her once towards the end when everyone was fidgeting.. the Silver 9th never looked so good!!!! Thank you Joanna Hull-Tillman for braiding her long mane and being my groom this morning. Thanks Carol Hull for breakfast after the class. And thank you to everyone that cheered her on from home!!! 4 babies on the trailer.. stuck intent of the barn.. dad pulled me out… almost late for vet appointment, 4 coggins and 4 branded. They all did great!!!! Now to let the 1/4 to 1/2 cc of drugs to wear off before we load and go home… still having data issues with phone..

“Joker” I Fooled You … he hasnt gotten cleaned up yet as it turned to cold to work with feet and clippers.. this boy has the cutest head and always wants to be in your business.. hopefully Sunday he gets a buzz cut and a trim. 2 months under LED lights and 2 of 4 have started to loose the hair!!! Mini Mello will be shed out by the first show in April.. 16 hours these lights are on in the stalls. It takes about 2 months for the process to start showing. (Non insulated open barn) I have noticed her hair loosening over the last week. Took an hour to ride my boy too!!!

Got a new feed scoop.. make sure to weigh your grain with each new batch.. The labels on this scoop are way off for safe choice senior feed!!!! Its sooo important to weight your grain, i replenish grain once a week and i take a weight on each bag i open to confirm they are the same.

Trailer cleanout.. i bought these last year and while they save a TON of space, they just didn’t work for me the way i wanted. So my loss is your gain if you need to save space!!!
Boss Bucket , collapsable 5 gallon buckets. I have 8 of these buckets with carrying case. (10 will fit into case) Would prefer to sell as a set but would split up.

Stole this from another.. but 💯 % true!!! all my babies and older horses alike are expected to respect my space and be good citizens..

Yesssssssss! S***k your baby horse.

I don’t mean beat them. I don’t mean give them a little tug on the lead rope. I mean a rude horse deserves and understands some rudeness right back at them far better than a sweet whisper in their ear.

I mean, when your c**t or filly is running you over or throwing their ass at you or throwing their feet at you or snatching at you with their teeth, S***K THEM. Their mama would never tolerate that behavior from them. The old babysitter gelding in their pasture would not tolerate that behavior. YOU SHOULDNT TOLERATE IT.

They don’t like you because you’re sweet to them. They “like” food, water and safety.
You want your horse to be fed so you bring them food.
You want your horse to have water so you keep water in front of them.
What do you do when you want them to be safe? You discipline them when they are unsafe. You teach them to respect humans and make good choices. When they don’t respect humans and humans get hurt what happens? THEY ARENT SAFE. They can’t be treated when they are sick. They can’t have their feet cared for. If they are hurt you can’t fix them. If something happens to you? What happens to your sweet dream horse? They aren’t going to be safe. No one wants a disrespectful dangerous horse. I don’t care how pretty they are. I don’t care how much money you paid for it. I don’t care what names are on its papers. If it’s a complete s**t, it’s a complete s**t and the good horse owners? They don’t want it! I don’t want it! You know who does want it? The meat man.

If you love that horse, don’t be afraid to give it a s***k when it’s rude.

Baby boot camp 23 has started!! Hollie was weaned last night (she wasn’t in the pen with her mom when i got off work) and tonight she had her first lesson with the rope and halter. She’s learning to give to the rope pressure and just has the halter on to get use to it being on her head.

Howdy y’all!!

We are *so excited* about moving into the Bar K Bar arena! We thought we’d give you the skinny on what is going on with it.

We are based in Salina, an hour away from Lyons, so the only times we have set in stone to be at the arena are days and weekends when there is an event scheduled. You can find their schedule here: https://www.barkbararena.com/ and look for anything that says BKB in front of it.

We will announce here on Facebook if we will be there outside of that schedule. Make sure you give us a like & follow so you can stay up to date!

On three day events, we will pull into Lyons on Friday and get the new inventory set up, and open at 2pm through 7pm.

Saturday’s we will be open at 7am and close at 7pm. Somewhere in there we will take a lunch, but if there is more than one of us on hand, we won’t close. 😊

Sundays we will be back at it again at 7am and will stay until the arena is mostly cleared out. We have shown there several times and know that Sundays are a bit up in the air for when everyone leaves, so that’s why we are keeping them open ended.

All that said, our website is open 24/7 and in the process of being updated with new, fun things. If you want to skip shipping costs and pick it up in person, you can select pickup when you are checking out and we will see you at the show!

I can get halters as small as mini foal and as large as draft (they are enormous!!) in a lot of different colors. Don’t see something you want? We don’t have your color? We can custom order it for you at no additional charge.

Would you rather have it in leather? We can order that too!

Mule tape! We have partnered with another small business for mule tape tack! We only have a few things right now, but we can order more if you aren’t seeing your perfect fit! The 🌟 stunning 🌟 halters and running hackamores will be on the website soon!

Got cinches? What about 100% mohair cinches in something other than plain white? Yup!! We are carrying custom cinches too! They’re made in Wyoming! Coming 2yo boot camp has begun.. Spartan is alittle behind because we just got him the first of October, but i think he will catch up quickly!!! I won’t throw a leg over him till January and then only for 10 or 15 Minutes!
