Update: 2/23 Puppadoodle had a good week this week. Just a few more days of antibiotics and a few more medicated baths and hopefully his hair will start growing back. Next vacc on 3/9 then on 3/30 to finish. He is going to grow out of the little stroller that we are borrowing until he is fully vaccinated. Keep your eyes open for a bigger dog stroller. We may take a collection for one from Amazon in the next week if we don’t find one.
I think he had a blast having doc push him around at the park today!☀️☀️☀️

Corgi puppy surrendered to Watts Veterinary Services

We are very thankful to the person who dropped this little guy off to us. Not sure what situation he was in but he is on his way to recovering now.

Skin Diagnosis: unknown
F***l: Hookworms

His skin condition looks to be a classic scabies case that got out of control.

However both skin scrapes came up negative for scabies and demodex mange.

It’s also possible he has a really bad staph infection or maybe even ringworm.

So we are doing treatments for all of the above. Dewormed, Antibiotics, nexgard plus, anti fungal and antibacterial baths, benedryl for the itching. We were told he hasn’t been vaccinated so he got an 8 in 1 vacc and bordetella vacc yesterday.

He only has 1/3 of the hair he is supposed to have on his body. I didn’t want to post anything right away because I wasn’t sure of how well he was going to do.

He has now perked up and is playing and barking. I’m sure it’ll be a couple of months before he’ll be feeling well enough to be adopted out.

During his stay in the quarantine room with us, if anybody has any of these items they would like to donate to help him, I know he would appreciate it.

Looking for a puppy/kitty stroller to take him on walks around the park as he can not walk on the ground outside until he is fully vaccinated and I know he wants to get out of that room. Puppy toys and 3-6 month old onesies ( I cut them to make them fit him so his little necked😁 body doesn’t get cold). He’s eating science diet puppy food.

Miss Kay has a packed house full of wildlife babies….birds, squirrels, possums. All vet costs come out of her pocket. If anyone feels inspired and wants to help out, please read her post. 

Baby season is in full swing at CMWR! Our rehabbers have recently been flooded with injured and orphaned wildlife! Many people are unaware that CMWR is a non profit organization run solely by volunteers, our staff is not paid and we receive no federal funding to help us care for the wildlife we take in! Our organization relies completely on donations from our amazing supporters that make what we do possible! With the recent influx of wildlife being admitted we desperately need your help to continue providing formula/food, shelter, medical care, etc. to the the animals in our care! All donations are tax deductible! Please HELP US HELP THEM!

Lt. Mike Boutte

This man was an amazing person. He had the professionalism, patience and concern in his everyday job that only God could have graced him with. As a client, he had such a soft heart and big love for his dogs.

Unbelievable loss. Our hearts and love go out to his sweet family. Praying for you all.

RIP Mike. We understand God needed you, but you meant sooooo much and will be missed by sooooo many people here.

Please pray for the family, friends and co workers of Hancock County Lt Mike Boutte. Boutte previously served locally with the Picayune Police Department and Pearl River County School District.

We have winners!! Since we had no kitty entries, additional dog costumes were picked.
Everybody went home with a prize and treats but our $50 gift card 1st place winner was chosen and two $25 gift card runner up winners were chosen. We had a super fun time here at the clinic today! Thank you for bringing your dogs out to trick or treat with us again this year. 🎉❤️👻🤡🎃
