It's almost that time of year for most dogs.... Shedding season 🙃🙃🙃 but for double coated dogs this is even less fun. It's always worth paying for a deshed brush out. Always. I brush my long haired dog religiously and I still routinely get this out of her.
Yesterday I did a field cut on a cocker spaniel with the usual hand stripping of the undercoat from the back and left the legs and paws longer at the owners request. Very happy with how this little guy turned out

Even with snow and ice on the roads and it being a national holiday yesterday, I did a full groom on a Maltipoo, a trim on another Maltipoo, and I cleaned up the sweetest Golden retriever. Even with the snow we are open. Making house calls. If your dog comes in looking like frosty the snowman let me come detangler all that snow and debris and give them a nice warm bath while I'm at it
We're working hard behind the scenes to bring your fur baby even better options. Lots of early mornings and late nights but it's going to be worth it
Bathing appointments can usually be fit in last minute or planned in advanced, same with small dog haircuts (20lbs and under); however it is almost impossible for me to fit your standard poodle or giant schnauzer in same day, last minute, or anything less than at least a 24 hour advance. These dogs have to be washed, fluff dried, brushed out, then cut and can take up to 4 hours to complete. Please keep this in mind when booking their appointments. I hate turning people away but I can't fit a possible 4 hour appointment in same day.

We will be getting new bandana fabric in stock soon. Bows are still on hold until I have a higher demand but if you request them instead of a bandana I will gladly custom make them from any of my available bandana fabric for your dog. You can also special request bandana patterns or fabrics at cost and I will custom make them for your appointment

At Paws & Relax I take safety very seriously. Before a new product touches a client I not only test it on both of my dogs, but also on myself. And if you're looking for a great alternative to bathing your unruly toddler or teenager, farm to market all in one will work in a pinch 🤣
I always have morning and evening appointments available and I officially offer drop off and pick up service within a reasonable distance for a small fee if you'd rather cover my bathroom in fur 😉

Paws and Relax, meet Maven. She was dropped off on my porch and she needs a foster/rescue/forever home asap. She is a total sweetheart I just physically and financially cannot take on a puppy right now. Please share to help find this sweet girl a home. I have no idea on age, shots, she doesn't seem to be fixed, and my best guess is shepherd/malinois mixed with some type of hound or lab. She howls and knows basic commands. Very high energy but can also calm down and be a love bug.
