Finally: an update for my dear clients.

I’m sincerely apologetic that it has taken me this long to give everyone an update on my health and I greatly appreciate your patience. The past 6 weeks have been a constant barrage of not-so-great news for my family and me, and we have been struggling to absorb all the information given to us. We’ve tried to let as many people know in-person as we can, but if you were missed please forgive us, as we are just doing the best we can right now.

As most of you know, around 7 weeks ago I was admitted to Brookwood with a blockage in my intestine, and it was later discovered that the blockage had been caused by a reoccurrence of the same cancer I had in 2019/2020. Unfortunately it has metastasized to the lining of my abdomen and has encased my digestive tract into a cocoon of cancerous tissue, so surgery and curative actions are not options for me at this time. Which unfortunately does mean that this time, my diagnosis is terminal. We were given a shorter time frame than I’ve already lived, so any question about how much time I have left is completely up in the wind, although I’m trying to find a way to get my scans and test results looked at so I can possibly know and start planning for the holidays, or if I’d just be wasting what time I have left. I was genuinely excited to go home and start grooming again because it’s my passion, but after being home for a week, I don’t believe I’ll have the energy or the steady-ness to safely groom my sweet fur-clients. If you need a referral to a groomer, please pm me and I’ll try to find one for you.

I invite any and everyone who wants to come spend time with me the opportunity, however I wear down quickly these days and my energy isn’t quite what it used to be, so please let me know a few days ahead of time so that our time together isn’t rushed and I’m awake for it (and of course let me know if you’re bringing your fur babies! I’d love to see my groom babies again!) My precious grandmother has moved in with me for the time being to be my primary care giver, and she has been helping me immensely with life right now. Hospice also comes by 3 times a week and they’re doing their best to keep me comfortable. I am blessed to be surrounded with so much support and love during this most difficult time. Please reach out to one of the people tagged in this post or me if you’d like to come visit. We do ask that you be vaccinated and please check your temperature before coming to visit. I don’t want whatever time I have left cut short by a cold or anything along those lines. Also, please be patient with us as we respond to messages and comments. We’re doing the very best we can ❣️

Guess what?!?
The nurse just told me I could possibly go home tomorrow 🎉
I now have a super strict diet due to the obstruction that’s being caused by the cancer, and I’ve never dieted in my life 😂 so this will be interesting. I’m feeling better and better every day, but will definitely be sore and fussy over eating puréed & liquid foods only, but it’s 110% better than the alternative. Thank you everyone for the continued prayers and support! They truly mean the world to me!

If I get to go home tomorrow, the second thing I’ll be doing is reaching out to my clients that I had to cancel on while in the hospital. The #1 thing I’ll be doing is getting trampled my my puppy dogs for at least a solid 10 minutes 😆🙃

My dear clients and friends,
As many of you already know, I have been diagnosed with a reoccurrence of the cancer I was diagnosed with in 2020. However this time, it is extremely aggressive and time is of the essence. Hopefully I will be starting treatment soon, however I will no longer be able to travel to do house calls. If you’d like to continue to use me as your fur-baby’s groomer, just message me so we can work out the details. If traveling to me doesn’t work for you, please let me know so I can try to refer you to someone who is kind, gentle, patient, and certified to groom. Thank you all so very much for allowing me to be the one to pamper your fur babies and spoil them with kisses. I will miss each and every one of them and will cherish the time I had with them. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated during this time as my family and I prepare for this terrifying and unpredictable journey. Again, thank you all for the memories, laughs, and for letting me be apart of you and your fur-babies lives! Hey my dear clients.
As most of you know, in 2019 I was diagnose in late stage cancer and spent 2020 going through the hardest thing i have ever been through, and hoped to ever go through. However, over the weekend it was discovered that i had a small intestinal blockage, and that my pelvis is full of fluid and what looks like neoplasm, which is another word for cancer. I was tubbed until this afternoon and am finally allowed to drink and eat clear liquids. A biopsy was done this morning to see what kind it is. Hopefully it’s a new form because there would be more options. If it’s a reoccurrence of the cancer I had last time, surgery isn’t an option and there’s few options for chemo and treatment. So again I ask all my prayer warrior and my vibe tribe to pray for me and send positivity my way. I am eternally grateful to those of you who have stuck with me through the ups and downs of this awful disease. I need all the love I can get right now as my heart is broken and unlike last time, I am absolutely scared to death. I guess here’s to round two 😢

Miss Scruffy came to see me for a nice warm bath and groom. The micro bubbles don’t only flush dirt and debris from their pores, it also aids in loosing up dead hair and undercoat. Look at all the hair coming off of Scruffy! This is without brushing or de-shedding. It’s just the magic of a spa bath with me 🤗😍🐶

California is tightening down on fraudulent representation of Service Dogs. See AB 468 effective January 1, 2022.

Service Dogs are more than just any dog wearing a vest purchased online.

If your dog has not been specifically obedience and task trained and you do not have an ADA qualifying disability, then your dog does NOT fall under the protection of ADA law.

ESA (Emotional Support Animals) are NOT Service Dogs and fall under the guidance of the Fair Housing Act and are welcome in your home with proper documentation and authorization.

Pets are NOT Service Dogs.

Puppies are NOT Service Dogs.

Pet dogs riding in grocery carts are NOT Service Dogs.

Buying an online "certificate" that your dog is a Service Dog, does NOT make it a Service Dog.

Dogs off leash and out of the control of their owner, are NOT Service Dogs.

Dogs trained for protection are NOT Service Dogs

Representing your dog to a business as a Service Dog and LYING, is FRAUD.

Educate yourself, do it well and do it right if you need a legitimate Service Dog!

One of my longtime and dear clients passed away recently and his son reached out to me to help find his dad’s dog of 15 years a home to live out her golden years. If anyone has the space in their homes and hearts, she needs somewhere warm and safe to live out her sweet little life. Her name is Roxie (Roxie the Doxie as I call her) and she’s a sweet good girl who loves to cuddle and play fetch. She’s still really really good at fetch ☺️😍.
