Welcome Carmelo to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Carmelo is a Norfold/Cairn Terrier mix is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds, and this boy understands mostly Spanish and is learning English. Carmelo is 2 years old and the shortest legs and the least outgoing of the two. These boys love each other and would love to be adopted together. If they adopt out separately, we do think they will be ok. Carmelo is lower shedding and lower dander due to his breed. He cannot walk on leash yet but with patience we think he can learn. We will be working on that while he is here at the rescue. His brother already knows how to walk on leash. Simba has lived with an older couple. They had some very unfortunate circumstances and now they are looking for a new home. CCPAL is happy to help them find their forever home. If we could find an owner that speaks some Spanish, that would be great. They are both learning English so they should be fine with some patience. An older couple or an older single person wanting a nice companion would be the best pick. Carmelo is very quiet and lower energy so he wouldn’t be hard to care for other than being really shy. He is good in a crate and not too much of a barker. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted out locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 12 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions. Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 5 months old. He is 50% Border Collie and the other is Terrier. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger personality. He is the most dominant of the 3 boys. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. We think Bear has less of the Border Collie personality and more of the dad’s personality who was a Terrier. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Welcome Max to CCPAL foster program. Max is a young male that is 5 months old. He is 50% Border Collie and the other is Terrier. He currently is about 25 pounds. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is attentive and knows sit, shake a paw and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions. Welcome Franki to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Franki is a 1-year-old Siberian Husky that weighs about 45 pounds with beautiful ice-blue eyes. She looks like a pure bred Husky in our honest opinion. She is very mellow and already has some skills under her belt. She is good in a car. She lays down and relaxes and isn’t nervous at all. She is good on a leash and knows the sit command. She is attentive and was listening well when we were working with her. She loves women naturally and warms up slower to men but very nice to strangers. She is stunningly beautiful and already is trained on an underground fence. She is currently around another dog. It is a Great Pyrenees and she is fine with this dog. She also lives on acerage with alpacas and has been fine with them as well. She has extremely soft fur and is very very sweet. We are proud to be looking for this great dog’s new forever home. Her story is she was dumped out in the country here in Texas and doesn’t have a microchip. All efforts were made to find her owner as she is a wonderful dog. Her home could not be found so she is looking for a new forever home. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed before going to her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport on one of the wonderful transporters is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. 05/29/2024

Welcome Ginger to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3.5-year old Dachshund/Beagle. She is good with other dogs. She has been in off-leash play groups with dogs bigger than she is and she does great. She is a hound and will scent off. She weighs about 20 pounds. She is a little chunky but she is a foodie. A little less food and more exercise would help. She needs a fenced yard and not underground type fencing. She was playing games today when we were trying to leash her but she is a foodie and will work for treats. She has a nice sturdy long body. This will allow her to be a good walking companion. She would be best in a Ranch style home with fewer stairs. The longer body dogs do best if they don’t have to climb lots of stairs and keep their weight in check. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and is ready for her forever home. She is great with other dogs. She is in off-leash play groups with dogs bigger than her. She minds her own business and doesn’t cause any trouble. She is crated at the Rescue and she does fine in a crate. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would like someone familiar with the Doxie breed as we can see the Doxie personality in this little girl. Doxie’s bond deeply and usually pick one person in the family to be their person. We would expect her to do this in her new home as well. A smaller yard would be fine for this girl and only a moderately active family would be fine. She won’t need tons of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email [email protected] if you have questions. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Welcome Lilly to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Lilly is a 4.5 month old 30 pound Border Collie mixed pup. She is probably going to be a 55 to 60 pound adult. She is smart, good in a crate, good in a car and very affectionate. She has gorgeous markings and her face looks like she has eyeliner. She has more floppy upright ears than her her brother. She currently is in foster care of a farm and he gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is not good with free range chickens. She is learning his potty manners and is already spayed and has all vaccines. She is healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be great with someone that loves the breed. She is a mix so doesn’t have all the qualities of the BC but she is smart, attentive and affectionate. She is decent on a leash and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She isn’t as high energy as the pure bred Border Collie but she is a average playful puppy. An active family wanting a nice young companion to join your family would be best. Another playful dog would be good or a large yard for her to play in. She is currently in Texas and can find a local adopter. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. 04/18/2024

Welcome Ruby to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Ruby is a 13-month old German Shepherd Dog. We are guessing she will be 60 pounds full grown. She is either a high mix or pure GSD. She was dumped at our Vet Office and our Vet is fostering her and vetting her. She is potty trained and good on a leash. She is crate trained and likes to ride in the car. She is healthy, vaccinated and on the schedule to be spayed. We would love a previous GSD owner. Young GSDs are energetic and will need mental and physical stimulation to be happy. GSD dogs are typically good with children. She has been around one child at the vet office and numerous people. She has done great with all the above. She is timid in new surroundings but the Vet is doing a great job with her. She bonds deeply and really loves her foster dad. She would be great with a young person or family that is active and looking for an active companion. She is good in a crate, good in a car and very smart. She has some slope on her back but not too much with means she will have less trouble with her hips in the future over the more sloped backs. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email [email protected] if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!
